In four years, NIO's 200,000th mass production vehicle rolled off the production line

On April 26, as a South Pole Star Blue ET7 drove out of the detection line, NIO's 200,000th mass production vehicle was officially rolled off the production line at the JIANGC NIO Hefei Advanced Manufacturing Base.

Looking back at NIO's first 100,000 units, it took three years to complete mass production from May 2018 to April 2021, and the second 100,000 units, from April last year to the present, the mass production time took only one year.

NIO believes that the roll-off of the 200,000th mass production vehicle is an important milestone in NIO's comprehensive acceleration in 2022. Judging from Weilai's plans to accelerate the layout of products this year, this is indeed the case.

This year, THE ES8, ES6 and EC6, the SUVs of NIO technology platform NT1, will usher in smart cockpit upgrades, and the CAR PRODUCTs ET7 and ET5 of NIO technology platform NT2 and the first SUV product, ES7, will be delivered one after another.

Nationwide, in 2022, NIO plans to add no less than 100 sales outlets, more than 50 NIO service centers and authorized service centers. Subsequently, the full-stack self-research investment increased, and in 2022, it is expected that the R&D investment will increase by more than 1 times year-on-year, and the R&D personnel will increase to 9,000 at the end of the year.

The second production base located in Hefei Xinqiao Intelligent Electric Vehicle Industrial Park is currently progressing smoothly and will be officially put into operation in the third quarter of this year as planned.

In terms of global layout, weilai will enter the European market this year, and its products and system-wide services will be officially landed in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark.
