Activision said that call of duty: Modern Warfare 2, released this year, will be "the most advanced experience in the history of the IP."

Just on April 25, Activision Blizzard released its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2022. Embedded in the financial results is an outline for the unofficially named sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which outlines the content of the sequel that will be launched later this year.
Not only that, but the earnings report also called it "the most successful call of duty to date" and will be "the most advanced experience in THE history of IP.". That's Activision Blizzard's promise, especially when developer Infinity Ward hasn't officially announced the game.
In fact, this isn't even the first time Activision Blizzard has publicly talked about the unpublished game. In early February, Activision Blizzard confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is in active development and is rebuilding from scratch to create a brand new game engine.
In addition, Activision confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is in concurrent development. The new battle royale sequel was mentioned again, as Activision Blizzard confirmed in its first-quarter earnings report, which will be announced later this year.
For both games that have not even been officially released for the first time by developers, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have undoubtedly attracted a lot of attention.
