Designers talk about visual effects updates: Card effects are updated soon? Magic card skins may turn over

From S1 to S12, League of Legends has been updated and iterated, and in addition to the balance of the version, the special effects and visual standards of League of Legends have also been significantly improved. Today's Fist Designer mentioned work on special effects updates for future versions:

In recent years, Fist Designers have been updating some of the old heroes with VFX (Visual Effects), also to make those old heroes meet the existing league standards, to achieve a clearer and more intuitive look. More often, designers will recalibrate skill effects, sound effects, and movements.

The purpose of updating effects can be divided into three categories:

Primary purpose: To fix gameplay issues such as inaccurate or missing or incorrect visual communication of skill prompts

Secondary purpose: Provide game readability (see how easy a skill is), reduce overall visual noise and adjust the visual intensity level of a skill (skill effects should not be too bright or too ugly)

Third: Enhance theme resonance (e.g. make the Void Hero feel more in line with the Void effect)

Here are some general guidelines for designers to follow when updating their skins:

- All skins will be subject to appropriate changes to match the new base adjustment. For example, if a skill range indicator better matches the gameplay, the skill range indicator on all skins should have exactly the same size specifications

- Skins that already have unique visual effects prior to the VFX update should also maintain the same level of effects after the update

-750RP or lower skin can only make one small adjustment

-975RP price point skin will undergo a slight discoloration and may also add some new elements

- 1350RP price point skins will have new exclusive visual effects (if they haven't been there before)

- 1820RP price point skins will get new exclusive visual effects (if they haven't been there before) and may add new emoticon effects to them

Skins that already have exclusive visual effects of existing standards will not receive new visual effects updates.

Future work on VFX updates:

The designers hope to use this article to learn more about the VFX update work, because this topic has not been discussed much before. In addition, the designers are also paving the way for the next hero to have visual effects updates. And the designers are also deliberately selling off: as for who will get the next VFX update... Well, it's a secret.

Although the designer did not say it, he could probably guess it. Because the designer added the original illustration of Trist's magic card skin at the beginning of this article, the next hero to be updated by VFX will most likely be Trist. Moreover, this magic card skin is 1820 at the price of the us costume, and the special effects have long been outdated. Although it is a legendary skin, the special effects do pull the crotch. Whether in the Passers's Bureau or in the game, it is rare to see players using this skin. I believe that after redoing, this skin should be able to bring some surprises to players.

Of course, there are still a lot of very outdated legendary skins in the league (such as Kutch's Red Baron, Galen's Death Knight), I don't know which legendary skin you would like to see redone?
