The background of this poem is that Su Dongpo was demoted to Huangzhou in the third year of Yuanfeng in the Northern Song Dynasty. I just received a new book today, Tian Xiaofei's "The Blade of Chibi", reading about her "Chibi Fu" before and after she wrote about Su Dongpo's devaluation of Huangzhou, and how she participated in the construction of chibi in China's literary and cultural traditions. I will sing a passage of "Former Chibi Fu" to everyone in the Bel canto pronunciation method of Chaoshan dialect. Chaoshan dialect is a living fossil of the ancient Chinese language of the Central Plains, and reading ancient poems in Chaoshan dialect is often more rhyming than Mandarin, not to mention chanting. This bel canto reading method was sung by Mr. Huang Zongze, a retired old principal from Chaozhou, when I was in junior high school more than forty years ago. Mr. Huang said that his grandfather was a former Qing Xiucai, who usually sang ancient poems in this way, and I directly passed it down from Principal Huang, which is original and absolutely "intangible heritage". Now I will sing the first two verses of "Former Chibi Fu" in the Chaoshan dialect of bel canto reading.

Writer Pompeii: Recommend "Wasteland"

Elliot was an American herself. But he later became a British citizen, in England. So both countries consider him to be their own. But there is something pure, aesthetic in his poetry that has nothing to do with nationality. His Wasteland is the first work of modernist poetry. This rhythm is obviously there. But in fact, we can also convey it when we translate. In the past, we always said that "American language cannot be translated", but in the face of such a classic work, in fact, our translators can also try to restore it. In fact, it can be restored. Take this sentence: "Cultivate cloves, mix memories and desires." "That's how we translated the original text. So if we translate it as "cultivating cloves, mixed with memory and desire", "lilacs" and "desires" have a rhythm. In this way, it can be more faithful to the original text. So in fact, the original text is not very complicated.

I can't be with you at the moment, so I'm going to seal the time with my memory and open it with you when we meet. Then the ordinary present will be my gift to you tomorrow. So I look at the present with the eyes of the future, with the eyes of the "you" who will be with you in the future, to see everything that was originally ordinary. It's like being given light by God and becoming very moving. Time thus has a sense of stacking, reshaped by emotional human beings.

The Qing Dynasty works depicting Guangzhou are now read as "seamless" and tailor-made. In the old days, the Pearl River was also called Zhuhai, because the water surface was very wide, so crossing the river was called crossing the sea, and the river was called haipi. All along, the pagoda is a landscape of Yangcheng that reflects the pearl water, and the Chigang Pagoda, Pazhou Pagoda and Lotus Pagoda have the saying of "three pagodas and three passes to lock the Pearl River". Nowadays, Guangzhou has a new scenery of "Ta Yao New City", and the new three towers of Canton Tower, East Tower and West Tower are writing the story of New Guangzhou in the new era together with Zhushui.

Multiple incense burners, many ghosts, one point of food and clothing, one point of people.
