The new newsletter | help children on the road to becoming talents

Preface

Editorial Director: Wu Ying

Many years ago, in the training of journal editors, I often heard the lessons of Zhu Wei, the former editor-in-chief of Sanlian Life Weekly, and what impressed me particularly was that Zhu Wei once said that he asked reporters to only state the facts in the manuscript and not draw conclusions.

At that time, I was thinking about when our magazine could do the same when we discussed family education with my parents.

Therefore, when we expounded the theme of "the road to becoming a talent" this time, we made such an attempt.

In the first story of the theme, you can see the path to success of "leaving the broad road and finding another way", and the second story is about "insisting on doing one thing and eventually achieving something".

So, in the end, is it easier to become a talent by loving a line, or doing a line of love and a line? Sorry, we don't want to draw conclusions. Moreover, there is no conclusion to draw.

To be honest, I have always felt that when it comes to homeschooling, all the hard-and-fast conclusions are wrong.

In addition to 3 interview stories, in this planning, we actually told a lot of hidden stories, for example, in teacher Ajia's description of Liu Jing, the translator of the book "The Road to Becoming a Talent", you can vaguely see the story of Liu Jing's unusual chengcai, and she also has a lot of ideas and thoughts about the matter of becoming a talent, so she will translate this book with affection.

In fact, Teacher A Jia himself, why is it not a special version of the "Road to Becoming a Talent" story? Having just won the Honor of The Carle Honors Bridge, he has been working in the field of picture books for 20 years, is the promoter of the development of picture books into China and China's original picture books, and is the forerunner and leader of parent-child reading, but he is obviously a graduate of the Law Department of Fudan University!

A few days ago, I happened to watch a documentary about Yangmeizhu Xie Street in Beijing's hutong, which I like very much, and I learned that in this hutong, there are garden design workshops opened by doctors from Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Renmin University, coffee shops opened by girls graduating from the Philosophy Department of Fudan University, and handmade leather goods shops opened by Uncle Zhang, who originally did civil affairs work...

There are so many interesting people in a short alley, interesting things, which can be seen in this society, just like Xiang Hua wrote in the article: "In a pluralistic world, there are not only many plates, but also many gaps, which can be selected by different special groups of people. ”

I think that every child can eventually find his own beautiful space and embark on his own path to becoming a talent, without being too worried and pessimistic, and not having to use his own worries about yesterday's troubles to over-speculate about tomorrow's world. As long as you trust the child, give him moderate love, and provide appropriate support for his growth, then let him fly with confidence and bravely chase.

However, the last thing I want to nag is that parents had better have their own dreams, don't keep all their eyes on the child, when we try to chase all our unfinished dreams, we will find that the child is also imitating you, without fear of wind and rain, flying high in the air.

So we are also very curious about what kind of road to success the young people around us are taking. Three people with different growth trajectories told very different life stories and shared their own highlights.

Underwater documentary director Zhou Fang - fearless age, brave to chase dreams; "post-90s" subway driver Song Nengchao - down-to-earth, do a line of love; Beijing Winter Olympics ski referee Zhang Zhenghao - take the initiative to plan his own life.

It turns out that there is no standard answer in life, and everyone can explore a unique path to success.

Psychologists, artists, and Olympic champions, how do they see the road to becoming a talent? How was the special book "The Road to Becoming a Talent" discovered? What are the thoughts of family education experts when reading this book?

Shi Jiannong× Xianghua × Deng Yaping× Ajia × Yang Yongmei have wonderful views, and together they help their children embark on the road to becoming talents.

Interview with a principal

"Old Cat Principal" Li Wei:

The purpose of education is to let children have a warm and good heart

"I always wondered, what should the relationship between teachers and parents look like? Is it a partnership? Not exactly, teachers and parents need to respect and learn from each other. Principal Li said. There was originally a saying called "the doctor's kung fu is in the hospital bed, the teacher's skill is in the classroom", and today, with the development and transformation of education, President Li believes that the second half of this sentence is not fully applicable - the teacher's ability is not only in the classroom, in the textbook, but also in understanding the students and understanding the parents.

Wild Swans: Growth and Strength

The charm of fairy tales is not only that the stories are interesting and fascinating, but more importantly, they contain rich educational revelations: when children begin to step out of their comfort zone, go to the wider world, learn to take responsibility, and strive to adhere to goodness and love, they can harvest growth and strength.
