Compared to the Dynasty series, the models of the Ocean series are more youthful. The Destroyer 05 is the first sedan of ocean network and the first model of the warship series. The new car is positioned as an A+ class sedan, and in terms of design and configuration, it tends to be younger and more technological. The models competing in the market are mainly joint venture brand cars of the same level.
In terms of design, the destroyer 05 adopts BYD's "marine aesthetic" design concept. The design of "marine aesthetics" enriches the direction of BYD's model design and also gives the destroyer 05 a new body posture. The front grille adopts the design of dot matrix infinity grille, which further stretches the visual width of the vehicle through a teardrop-like lattice and staggered decorative strips. The new car adopts BYD's new wordmark logo, and the font style is more concise. The new car is equipped with Starlight Battleship headlights, which realizes the whole series of LED light sources.
The destroyer 05 has a body size of 4780*1837*1495(mm) and a wheelbase of 2718mm. The side of the body adopts the shape of a slip car, and the waist line extends to the rear of the car. The rear of the new car echoes the front face, and the rear air vent and the front face maintain the language uniformity. The taillights adopt a geometric limbo dot matrix design, with a penetrating position light that echoes the front of the car, which has a strong recognition.
Coming to the interior of the Destroyer 05, it is an interior design that unifies youthfulness and a sense of technology. The overall design adopts the rhythm of the ocean, and the design concept is derived from the aesthetics of the ocean. Minimalist lines outline the spatial layering inside the car. In order to meet the aesthetics of young people, the new car provides a variety of choices in the interior color matching, including basalt black, sky gray, jacaranda pink and quantum highlight gray. And on top of the details, many elements of the ship's design have been added. Like the ship's jumping air outlet, the overall shape resembles a speeding ship.
The rich and diverse configuration of intelligent technology is the big selling point of destroyer 05. The destroyer 05 is equipped with 17 standard series, including DiLink intelligent voice interaction system, 12.8-inch 8-core adaptive rotation suspension Pad (upgraded to 15.6 inches for high-end models), rear exhaust air outlet, mobile phone NFC car key, LED daytime running lights, keyless entry and one-key start system, TPMS direct tire pressure monitoring system (digital display), external mirror electric adjustment + heating, automatic air conditioning (dual temperature zone air conditioning for high-end models), OTA remote upgrade + cloud service, etc.
Today we experience the destroyer 05 120KM flagship model. This model is equipped with VTOL mobile power station function, 17kW DC charging port, etc., and the unique mobile power station kinetic energy can be discharged to the outside world for electrical power supply.
In terms of power, the destroyer 05 is equipped with DM-i super hybrid technology, which adopts the core components of the 1.5L high-efficiency engine, the EHS electric hybrid system, and the DM-i super hybrid special power blade battery. The 1.5L high-efficiency engine has a thermal efficiency of 43.04%, a peak power of 81kW/6000rpm, a peak torque of 135N·m/4500rpm, and a 120KM version that accelerates from 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.
