Bao Daichao: The Game Between "Golden Jade Good Fortune" and "Wooden Stone Former Alliance" (Part 1)

As we all know, there are many characters in "Dream of the Red Chamber". According to the statistics of the late Mr. Xu Gongshi, a red scholar, in the entire "Dream of the Red Chamber", the number of characters involved before and after reached 975, of which 732 were surnamed and 243 were surnamed.

If you want to ask, who is the first male protagonist in this huge team of more than a thousand people, then there is no doubt that everyone must be able to answer three words immediately - Jia Baoyu. Jia Baoyu is the first male protagonist of "Dream of the Red Chamber", this point, there is no need to discuss, then, who is the first female protagonist?

Regarding the first heroine of "Dream of the Red Chamber", friends are of course very clear, she is Lin Daiyu, that is, the famous "Lin Sister". However, I believe that there will be many friends who feel that the first female protagonist should be Xue Baochao, because after all, the last to marry the first male protagonist Jia Baoyu is Xue Baochao.

The question is, who is the first heroine of "Dream of the Red Chamber"? Let's take a look at the author Cao Xueqin's meaning. According to Cao Gong's meaning, the first female protagonist should be Lin and Xue juxtaposed, in other words, Lin Daiyu and Xue Baochao are listed as the first heroine of "Dream of the Red Chamber".

So, the second question arises--how do we see cao gong's meaning? What is the basis? Speaking of the basis, there are two: First, in the fifth episode of the book, "Traveling illusion refers to the twelve mysteries of the twelve chaos drinking immortal mash song to perform the dream of the Red Chamber", Jia Baoyu looked at the "Jinling Twelve Noble Books", "Twelve Noble Books" of course are 12 people, but the "poetry" (poems that hint at the fate of the characters) is only 11. Why? Because in the first poem, lin and Xue are included at the same time, and their poems are clouded:

Sigh,

Pity Yong Cai.

Hanging in the jade belt forest,

Buried in the snow.

The three words "Jade Belt Forest" in the third sentence are inverted as "Lin Daiyu"; while the "snow" in the fourth sentence is pronounced "Xue", and "Golden Hairpin" is "Baochao". The reason why Cao Gong wrote Lin and Xue into the same poem, and it was the first poem, is to show that Lin and Xue are the first female protagonists. This is one of them. As for the second, we'll talk about it next time.
