Yang Shen (1488-1559) was a native of Xindu, Sichuan (present-day Xindu District, Chengdu), Ming Dynasty, Sichuan (present-day Xindu District, Chengdu).
In the sixth year of Zhengde (1511), he was a scholar of the Guanhanlin Academy and participated in the compilation of the Records of Emperor Wuzong. Emperor Wuzong went out of Yongguan and went up to the top to resist the advice. Sejong succeeded to the throne, reinstated as a Hanlin cultivator, and served as a lecturer at the Scripture Feast. Sejong Zhu Houxi succeeded to the throne in the form of "brother and brother", and in the third year of Jiajing (1524), the "Great Ceremony" began, and Sejong favored Gui Cao and Zhang Xuan to advocate the idea that the succession would not succeed the heir, and the highly respected Yang Ting, his father and son, and many ministers resolutely opposed it. To this end, Yang Tinghe was forced to resign and return to Li, and Yang Shen repeatedly wrote to resign, unwilling to work with Zhang, Gui and other "shameless villains". In this regard, Zhu Houxi, who was self-conscious, was very angry, and he insisted on going his own way, and officially issued an edict to change his name to Emperor Gongmu.

"Sheng'an was arrested on July 15, and on the seventeenth he was revived by the death of the court staff, and every ten days, the court staff was revived once more, almost dead, and then he was enlisted in Yongchangwei, Yunnan (present-day Baoshan County, Yunnan). Unable to realize his lofty political ambitions in Yunnan, Sheng'an turned his frustration into motivation, tirelessly engaged in writing and research, and went deep into the frontiers, traveling and inspecting, lecturing and apprenticeship. Under his influence and drive, the Dianshi practitioners were like clouds, which opened up the culturally backward Yunnan study style at that time. Sheng'an was erudite in his lifetime, and wrote more than 400 kinds of works. The "Biography of Yang Shen of the Ming Dynasty" says that "the Ming Dynasty remembers the knowledge of recitation, the wealth of writings, and the push of prudence as the first". In addition to literature, historiography, and philosophy, these works also include astronomy, geography, medicine, biology, goldstone, calligraphy and painting, music, drama, religion, folklore, and so on. He is a great writer, historian, philosopher and scholar of many disciplines. Later, he chose to compile the eighty volumes of the Sheng'an Collection. He composed more than 2,000 poems, while the "Ming Poetry Collection" only selected fifteen poems of Sheng'an, and the popular literary history works and works selections are even less mentioned in his poems.

Nowadays, in Mr. Sheng'an's works, the word "Linjiang Xian" that has been recited is almost a household name, and this poem is a section of the third paragraph of Mr. Sheng'an's "Twenty-one History Bullet Words" "Speaking of Qin and Han", which was first selected by Mao Zonggang, who revised the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", as the opening of the whole book, and then for taiwanese female writer Qiong Yao to quote the phrase as the title of the novel "Several Degrees of Sunset Red", which was widely sung by the power of tv dramas.

Yang Shengong is good at calligraphy and painting, which is a representative scholar of the middle Ming Dynasty, and his calligraphy is hidden by the name of Xuebo Caixiong, coupled with the fact that Mr. Yang Shengong has been in Yunnan for half of his life, and most of his handwriting has been scattered, so there has been little special collation and research on his achievements in calligraphy art since the Ming and Qing dynasties.
