First, Xie Jin's couplet provoked Cao Yuanwai

Xie Jin (解缙), also spelled Dasheng (大绅), was a native of Jishui (present-day Jishui, Jiangxi), who had served as the first assistant to the cabinet and was proud of the spring breeze. He presided over the compilation of the Yongle Canon, and is recognized by the world as a great genius.
It can be said that Xie Jin was born smart, gifted, since childhood can speak eloquently, export into chapters, the opposite of his home is Cao Yuanwai, the Cao family is a local giant rich, there is a bamboo forest in front of the door, every New Year, the family is pasted couplets, Xie Jin wrote a sticker himself: the door to a thousand poles of bamboo, the family collects thousands of books.
This joint manifestation of the understanding of the family letter Xiang Mendi, which made Cao Yuan very unhappy when he saw it, so he ordered the servant to cut off the bamboo.
Xie Jin saw it, and immediately added a word up and down: the door is short to a thousand poles and bamboo, and the family collection is ten thousand volumes long.
Cao Yuanwai was even more unhappy when he saw it, so he uprooted all the bamboo, and Xie Jin quietly added another word: the door is short to a thousand poles of bamboo, and the family collection of thousands of books is long.
The boss of Cao Yuanwai was not happy, and sent someone to call Xie Jin, deliberately letting him go through the small door to embarrass him.
Xie Jin insisted on going through the gate. Cao Yuanwai came out and said to him: This is good, I am out of the upper link, if you can go out of the lower link, naturally let you go through the door, and then say the upper link: the puppy is ignorant and narrow.
This clearly means that he is a "dog" who does not know the height of the sky.
Xie Jin quickly replied: Dapeng spread his wings and hated the bottom of the sky. This is a self-metaphor for Dapeng.

Suddenly, this Cao Yuan was speechless. There are many folk legends about Xie Jin, all of which show that Xie Jin is extremely clever.
Xie Jin's grandfather Xie Ziyuan was a fifth-year jinshi of the Yuan Dynasty, his father Xie was a Wuzhi Tribute Ju and refused to be an official, and his mother Xianliang Shude, who was familiar with the history of Xiaoyin, was especially good at Xiao Kai.
Second, a generation of wizards belongs to Jie Jin
Xie Jin was five years old and knew poetry, ten years old did not forget, exported into poetry, twelve years old to read the group of books, zhiwen reply, thirteen years old four books five sutras backwards like a stream, twenty years old township test first, with his brother Xie Lun, brother-in-law Jinhua in the same list of jinshi, so it was called "one door three jinshi".

Xie Jin was encouraged, wrote "Ten Thousand Words on the Seal", sprinkled thousands of words in the ocean, expressed the concept of governing the country, and had some unique insights, which were commended.
Xie Jin then wrote another article entitled "Ten Strategies for Taiping", trying to govern the country, which was once again praised by Zhu Yuanzhang.
Xie Jin began to drift a little, could not find the north, began to hang in the mouth, no taboo, accused Zhu Yuanzhang of being murderous, indiscriminately sealing the prince as king, etc., Zhu Yuanzhang laughed.
Xie Jin forgot to be a person or a low-key good, mouthless, sharp, everywhere offended people, impeached the minister. As the saying goes, "If a person is the most discerning, there is no disciple", Xie Jin did not understand this morality, offended many powerful and noble relatives, and attracted the dissatisfaction of the Manchu Dynasty Wenwu, almost everyone hated him, and wanted to drive him out of the official field, fortunately, Zhu Yuanzhang protected him, but the boss of the group of ministers was dissatisfied.
Just at this moment, Xie Jin's father entered Beijing, and Zhu Yuanzhang summoned his father xie and said to him: Xie Jin's child is a talent, and his future prospects are unlimited, but his heart is not mature enough, and he must cultivate himself, otherwise he will become the target of attacks by the group of courtiers. Well, you take him back, and then you educate him well, and in another ten years, there will be reuse.
Therefore, Xie Jin was dismissed from his post and returned home with his father, and for eight years, he wrote behind closed doors, proofread the "History of the Yuan" to supplement the "Book of Song", and deleted the "Book of Rites".
Third, he was involved in the dispute between the princes and died
Before Zhu Yuanzhang could say ten years, Zhu Yuanzhang died, and his grandson Zhu Yunjiao took the throne, and before he could sit firmly on the throne, he was seized by his uncle (Zhu Yuanzhang's son) Zhu Di.
When Zhu Di came to power, he needed to win people's hearts, so he came up with the idea of compiling a huge work, and he knew xie Jincai's name earlier, so he recalled him again, appointed Hanlin as a bachelor's attendant, made him the editor-in-chief, and organized a group of literati to compile the Yongle Canon.
This "Yongle Canon" is an encyclopedia, which embodies the highest achievements of ancient Chinese science and culture, quite high value, and is also the largest encyclopedia in human history, which has been cultivated in six years and is deeply appreciated by Zhu Di, who said: "The country cannot do without me, and I cannot do without Xie Jin!" "Promoted Xie Jin to the head of the cabinet.
Xie Jin received Zhu Di's attention and began to flutter again.

Xie Jin did not know that there was a problem with that nerve, as if he had done a big thing for Sheji, and from time to time he could attack the emperor's second son, Zhu Gaoxu, in various fields from time to time, and say bad things about him.
Xie Jin did not understand that in any case, people were father and son, and Zhu Di liked the second son of the emperor, Zhu Gaoxu, and should not interfere in the internal affairs of the royal family, and from time to time said bad things about Zhu Gaoxu, which was clearly to provoke the relationship between father and son.
Zhu Gaoxu killed this Xie Jin fiercely, and began to look for opportunities to take revenge, and as Xie Jin did not open the door again and again, Zhu Di also began to dislike him and dislike him, so he casually found a reason to send him to Guangxi, when the Guangxi Political Secretary consulted, hoping that he could reflect on himself, the result was that the country and mountains were easy to change, and his disposition was difficult to move, and finally Xie Jin wanted his own future and small life.
In the eighth year of Ming Yongle, when Zhu Di led the army on the Northern Expedition, Xie Jin happened to enter Beijing to play an affair, and when he heard that Zhu Di was not in the capital, he should have waited for Zhu Di to return to Beijing, who knew that Xie Jin went directly to Zhu Gaozi's palace.
After Zhu Di returned to Beijing, the emperor's second son, Zhu Gaoxu, seized the opportunity to falsely accuse him of being undeserved and disrespectful, and had no one to pay tribute.
Zhu Di originally did not like the crown prince, and now xie jin saw Zhu Gaozi privately, and also suspected that the two were colluding and plotting against him, so he beat Xie Jin into prison.
Xie Jin was imprisoned for several years, and Zhu Di almost forgot about him.
In the thirteenth year of Yongle, Ji Gang, the leader of the Jinyi Guard, submitted a list of criminals to Zhu Di, and Zhu Di saw xie jin's name on it at a glance, and casually said: "Xie Jin, this boy is not dead!" ”
Zhu Di only said casually, and did not want to relieve Jin's life, but Ji Gang was the most able to figure out the holy will, and when he returned, he arranged for the head of the cell and prepared good wine and good meat to entertain Xie Jin, saying that The saint remembered him again.
Xie Jin thought he was going to get out of prison, very beautiful, was drunk, unconscious, stripped of his clothes, and threw him into the snow in the waxing moon and froze to death.
It is a pity that Jinjin is smart and mistaken by smart, and the death is a bit special.
Although Xie Jin is dead, there are still many of his stories circulating in the folk, all kinds of things, true and false, some of which are the wonderful flowers of later generations, so that he is still "alive".
