At the age of five, he could write down the poems taught by his father, and at the age of seven he could start writing articles. On a larger scale, Xie Jin was more familiar with the Four Books and the Five Classics, and he was even more aware of the righteousness in them.

Xie Jin is a tough personality, but does not enter through the small door, insisting on entering through the door. After Li Shangshu learned of the situation, he walked out, saw Xie Jin, and said, "The boy is talentless and narrow. Xie Jin blurted out: "Dapeng spreads his wings and hates the sky low." As soon as Li Shangshu heard that this boy was a little interesting, he asked people to open the gate and let Xie Jin enter the house through the gate.
After Xie Jin entered the table, the magnates present also wanted to test whether Xie Jin had real talent and practical learning, so some people took Xie Jin's family situation and asked him to write poetry on the theme of his parents' occupation. Xie Jin knew that this was deliberately using his family's poverty to suppress himself, so he did not hesitate to say: "Households pick the sun and moon to sell on the street, and grind Qiankun day and night." "Immediately left the magnate who had embarrassed him dumbfounded.

However, Li Shangshu still wanted to suppress Xie Jin, so he pointed his hand to the sky and said, "Heaven makes a chessboard star, who dares to go down?" After Xie Jin listened, he replied without panic: "The ground is made of pipa road to make strings, which can be played?" After saying that, he also used his feet to eat on the ground, and at this time, Li Shangshu opened his mouth and stammered, and he really cried and laughed.

Twenty years after Hongwu, Xie Jin took part in the township examination and ranked first in the list. The following year, he participated in the court examination with his brother and brother-in-law, and climbed into the shidi together. In the same year, he was promoted to The Bachelor of Hanlin and was deeply valued by Zhu Yuanzhang.
Although Xie Jin was only eight buckets high, he was upright in nature and did not know how to live smoothly in the world, and he was soon falsely accused in the court and repeatedly degraded. Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang knew that Xie Jin was talented, but lacked self-cultivation, so he decided to polish Xie Jin well, and this polishing lasted for ten years.
Thirty-one years after Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang died of illness, xie jin went to beijing to mourn, and his former mortal enemy slandered xie jin in front of Zhu Yunjiao, and xie jin was degraded again. Later, because Dong Lun, the attendant of the Ceremonial Department, was a red man around Zhu Yunjiao, he said a lot of good things about Xie Jin, which caused Xie Jin to be recalled to the Beijing Division, and the official was served by Hanlin.
In the first year of Yongle, after Ming Chengzu Zhu Di ascended the throne, Xie Jin was promoted to Hanlin Attendant, participated in the pre-flight service at the Wenyuan Pavilion set up by Ming Chengzu, and then was appointed to edit the Yongle Canon.
One day, Ming Chengzu invited Xie Jin to visit the Royal Garden, the scenery is current, Ming Chengzu asked Xie Jin to write a poem with the theme of cockscomb flower. Xie Jin hesitated for a moment, then exited and said, The crown is originally rouge-stained. As soon as the words fell, Ming Chengzu took a white cockscomb flower and shook it in front of Xie Jin, who immediately played on the spot: "Why do you have light makeup today?" Only because of the five more greedy reports, but still wear a lot of frost. "The temporary adaptability is very strong, and there is a solid literary foundation, the answer is like a stream, and it is deeply liked and favored by Ming Chengzu."
In the third year of Yongle, Ming Chengzu summoned Xie Jin into the palace to discuss the establishment of the crown prince. Ming Chengzu had the intention of establishing a second son, Zhu Gaoxu, but Xie Jin said bluntly: Since ancient times, it has been like this since ancient times. If a new case is opened, I am afraid of trouble. Ming Chengzu was still hesitant in his heart, and Xie Jin said at this time: "Good Saint Sun." Immediately let Ming Chengzu make up his mind to make the eldest son the crown prince.
Xie Jin's move successfully angered Zhu Gaoxu, and although the crown prince had been established, Ming Chengzu was not so satisfied with the crown prince, but was more partial to his second son Zhu Gaoxu, and his favor was far greater than that of the prince. Xie Jin gave Advice to Ming Chengzu at the right time, and such behavior should be less and less. Ming Chengzu did not think so, but thought that Xie Jin was dividing their brotherly feelings, and it was not as great as before for Xie Jin.
Later, Xie Jin was framed by Zhu Gaoxu and many people, and was degraded all the way. In the eighth year of Yongle, Xie Jin entered the capital to play an affair, and when Ming Chengzu's Northern Expedition had not returned, he met with the prince and went back. At this point, Zhu Gaoxu found a reason to continue to suppress Xie Jin, and he gave Ming Chengzu a rumor: "Xie Jin has no courtesy." Ming Chengzu was furious and ordered Xie Jin to be sent to prison.
After Xie Jin was imprisoned, one day Jinyi Weidu commanded the prisoner on the Ji Gang of the YouShi, and Ming Chengzu saw Jin's name and mentioned: "Jin is still there?" Ji Gang immediately understood, drunk with wine to relieve Jin, and then buried him with deep snow, xie Jin thus came to the end of his life in the snow and wind.
Throughout Xie Jin's life, from Zhu Yuanzhang's ten-year-long polishing of him, it is enough to prove that he is indeed talented. However, in the matter of Ming Chengzu Li chu, he was too upright, resulting in the inability to retreat with his whole body, and eventually buried deep in the snow, not understanding the wisdom of Mingzhe to protect himself, which was the biggest drawback of Xie Jin's life.
