I recall that in the mid-1980s, I hosted a literary program "Empty Chinese Garden" in the Literature and Art Department of Chongqing Radio, and I met many literary lovers in Chongqing, especially poetry lovers, who talked to me about Mr. Yu Guangzhong and recommended this poem to me in particular. Since then, I have paid special attention not only to the works of this literary giant, but also to his life dynamics. When I learned that during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he had studied in Chongqing and lived and studied in Yuelai for 8 years, and since then, he has been full of longing for Yuelai. What kind of place is that? Why does it haunt the poet??
In October 2005, Mr. Yu Guangzhong and his wife returned to Yuelai after a 60-year absence, and there were many reports in the Chongqing media. On the screen, in the newspapers, in the sound waves, I saw him with silver hair, surrounded by former friends in the same window, still able to talk to his classmates and villagers in fluent Chongqing dialect, and he especially recited "Nostalgia" in Chongqing dialect. As the saying goes, "What can't be forgotten is nostalgia, and what can't be changed is the rural tone." "This scene really makes me have mixed feelings.
A writer friend of mine said it well, "Knowing a city through a poem is the most beautiful fate." "It's as if it's me and Yuelai."
A few years ago, a poetry meeting with the theme of "nostalgia" in the afterglow was held in Yuelai, which was attended by many radio and television hosts and language art lovers in Chongqing, and the organizer also invited me to participate. As soon as I arrived at Yuelai, I felt the aura given by "nostalgia". Although Yuelai can no longer see the childhood scene of the poet's "large rice fields and clear lotus ponds", but being in it immediately reminds me of my hometown. My hometown is in the North of Shanxi on the Loess Plateau, where there is the high Taihang Mountain and the majestic Lüliang Mountain, and I think of the cave dwellings in the depths of the mountains, the mountain people who have lived in the caves for generations, and the pathetic melody of "Walking West Exit"... At that time, even I felt strange, in Yuelai, a city full of modern atmosphere, how could I suddenly think of this?
I very much agree with Mr. Yu Qiuyu's criteria for judging literary and artistic works, saying that a good literary and artistic work should not only make people appreciate beauty, but also make people associate beauty, especially the association of life conditions. If this criterion is true, Mr. Yu Guangzhong's "Nostalgia" is the best example.
There are many beautiful pasts in life, which often pass by with the wind and become invisible in an instant. Only those talented poets will, with their talents, freeze it into a poem, fix it into a beautiful existence. It slowly travels through the tunnel of time, slowly ferments in people's hearts, and time becomes beautiful and life becomes comfortable.
Because of this "Nostalgia", I am reminded of the city that has been famous for a poem in the past and the present. For example, when we read Du Fu's "Xiao sees the red and wet places, the flowers are heavy in Jinguancheng", we will think of Chengdu; when we read Du Mu's "Smoke Cage Cold Water Moon Cage Sand, Night Berth Qinhuai Near the Restaurant", we will think of Nanjing; when we read Wang Wei's "Weicheng Is Rainy and Dusty, and the Guest House is Green and Willow-colored New", we will think of Luoyang; especially when we read Li Shangyin's "The Return Date of junwen is not in date, and the night rain in Bashan rises in the autumn pond", we will think of Chongqing in which we are... Yes, poetry is eternal because of this city, and the city is beautiful because of these poems, which is both the luck of poetry and poets, but also the luck of the city and the inhabitants who live in this city. No wonder someone once said, "If you like a city, the best way is to turn it into a poem." "Thinking of this, we should really thank Mr. Yu Guangzhong for writing this "Nostalgia" for Yuelai, and we should also thank Chongqing Yuelai for giving Mr. Yu Guangzhong's creative inspiration.
"Nostalgia" is a common emotion of human beings, as long as there are human beings, there will be "nostalgia", and China, which has a long history of more than 5,000 years, is a country that attaches special importance to "nostalgia culture", in the "Mid-Autumn Festival", "Chinese New Year's Eve" and other traditional festivals, if a poetry meeting is held, Mr. Yu Guangzhong's "Nostalgia" is recited, it is almost an unquestionable common election. Because of my professional relationship, I have also enjoyed many different versions of "Nostalgia", although the styles are different and the levels are uneven, but they all move me, and I know deeply that because of nostalgia, even the distant hometown will be close to our hearts.
"The near-homesickness is even more timid, and I dare not ask people." Although I have heard many friends recite "Nostalgia", I have not really recited it. I really want to come to Yue lai at the right time to recite it. scold! Please wait for me, my poetic delight to come...
