It is worth noting that three Chinese brands have also appeared in the automotive industry, of which BYD ranks 346th, ranking first in the list of Chinese car brands, Haval ranks 372nd, and Geely ranks 437th. Unfortunately, in this list, we do not see the figure of Chery Automobile, a veteran self-owned automobile brand.

With the rise of Chinese auto brands, why did Chery Automobile, which was once proud of its own car brand, out? The reason is that the product is not strong.

Remember the son of the Orient that made Chery Automobile proud? Obviously, it can become a leader in the Chery brand to go to the next level, but because of its own quality problems, Chery has not been able to make a good start on the road to product upwards. Today's models, although much stronger than the children of the East in those days. Ke chery's product quality problems are still criticized. For example, only in January and March this year, Chery's many cars were on the complaint list of the car quality network. As for the reason, there are not only problems with important components such as engines and gearboxes, but also problems such as body rust and water leakage.

Specifically, in March this year, Chery Tiggo 8 "topped the 6th place" of the vehicle quality network complaint list, and the number of complaints was as high as 58, and the reason for the complaint was suspected design defects and lights. Looking at the Tiggo 8 complaint page, it can be found that the problems of this car do not stop there, such as throttle failure, transmission resonance, steering system jamming, oil emulsion and paint foam cracking are among the complaints. And these problems really reflect how outrageous the quality control of Tiggo 8 is.

If in March, chery only one Tiggo 8 was in the top 30 of the car quality network rankings, then in February, there were four traditional fuel vehicles on the list, namely the 4th Tiggo 8, the 10th Arriza 5, the 12th Tiggo 7, and the 18th Tiggo 8plus. Judging from the ranking results, chery's four models are two of the top 10, and two are in the top 20, which is "impressive"!

Looking at the reasons why these cars were complained about, the problem of Tiggo 8 has an additional antifreeze, while the Arrizo 5 is as usual with water leakage and body rust. The problem with the Tiggo 7 is that the components are aging and the lights are not on, and as for the Tiggo 8plus, it is impossible to shift gears and the gearbox is abnormal. From the perspective of the problem itself, the problem of Tiggo 8plus may be more serious, after all, the security risks that may be brought about by the inability to shift gears are still very large.

Okay, let's move on and look at the January Car Quality Network complaints list. In fact, Chery has had a number of cars on the list since January. The Tiggo 8 is in the top ten, the Tiggo 8plus is also in its list, and as for the Arrizo 5, it seems to have become a regular customer, and its body rust and water leakage problems have become an insurmountable gap. Of course, these problems do not only appear this year, looking at the complaints of the car quality network last year, we know that the complaints about the Arrizo 5 have never been left behind, and the Arrizo 5 has also been dominating the car quality network complaint list for these reasons.

Let's talk about the Tiggo 8, which has been ranked in the top ten of the car quality network complaint ranking for 3 consecutive months, in addition to the above problems, the problem of its gearbox is not a small problem. For example, on March 22 this year, some car owners complained that the Tiggo 8 could not speed up during driving, and the gearbox did not rise gear.

The specific situation is that some car owners reflect that when driving on the high speed, the car fell from 7th gear to fourth gear continuously, the engine speed continued to rise, the engine noise became louder, and the speed did not see a significant increase, and the gear has not been raised in 4 gears. Lights are on with engine failure. The owner can only switch to manual mode and forcibly use the gear rod to upshift. Unexpectedly, a problem was found again. When manually hanging into the three gears of 5, 6, and 7, the throttle is pressed to the end, and it is found that the oil cannot be added, and there is no reaction when stepping down. The tachometer remains the same, the speed remains the same. When the manual return to 4 gears, the engine speed will come up, but the speed will not rise. However, the service area stopped and turned off, and the restart returned to normal. Then drive out a few hundred kilometers and then this problem will arise again. Under the guidance of the after-sales service, the gearbox was upgraded and the transmission oil was replaced, but the problem was still not solved. What makes the owner even more angry is that although he calls the manufacturer every three to five times, he says that there are staff who will contact him. But no one came to contact. Now after-sales, technical personnel can not come up with a program, can not find a specific fault. Manufacturers said that the technical support, far away, the car is the whole 4s shop maintenance, out of this problem, they will only use the decoder, do not feel their experience judgment.

See here, is not very "wow"!

Query the official website will find that the product selling point of the Tiggo 8 is related to one item, in addition to seeing the introduction of the engine, the gearbox is selectively omitted. Why ask, it's very simple, I'm afraid some can't get their hands on it! In other words, even if Chery is blowing its engine, but the matching gearbox does not give force, where can the power performance be so good?

Let's take a look at this gearbox of the Tiggo 8. It is understood that the new Tiggo 8 provides TWO ENGINES IN TERMS: ACTECO 1.5TCL and 1.6TGDI, with the 1.5TCL engine matching the 6MT and 6DCT transmissions and the 1.6TGDI engine matching the 7DCT transmission. Among them, the dual-clutch transmission is a substance developed by Chery Automobile and Getrag, while the 6MT transmission is a transmission from Aisin, Japan.

As we all know, even Volkswagen's dual-clutch gearbox often has problems such as hysteresis and setbacks, so it is not surprising that the dual-clutch transmission matched by Chery has a problem. In comparison, Aisin's 6MT is undoubtedly more reliable. As for why it does not match Aisin's AT gearbox, it may be because of the cost problem!

But the question is, compared to the safety and quality of the product, what is the significance of such cost control?

In addition to the transmission problem of the Tiggo 8, there are also problems such as the Tiggo 8plus such as the airbag not popping open, the adaptive cruise is out of control, the steering wheel is stuck at high speed, the body chassis parts are abnormal, the engine jitter cannot start, and the spare tire falls off for no reason during driving.

Thinking back to that year, Chery was able to dominate the car industry with only one QQ and become a well-deserved independent car company. Today, although there are a lot of technical reserves, there is also a more complete model lineup. But what is lamentable is that with the fall of quality control again, there have never been explosive models again. As for the Chery brand, although it is still active in the car industry, compared with the famous Geely, BYD and Great Wall Motors, the difference is not a little bit.

Putting aside the above product quality problems, Geely has high-end brands Lynk & Co and new energy's Extreme Krypton brand, BYD's achievements in new energy have once surpassed Tesla, as for the Great Wall, people also have Wei Pai and Euler, Tank and other sub-brands in the famous earthquake car industry. But what about Chery? The star path is tepid, new energy only relies on low-end cars, even if "more children are born", it seems that it has nothing to do with the explosion!
