When it comes to Toyota's layout in the Guangdong automobile market, many people may be familiar with GAC Toyota. However, as early as 40 years ago, Toyota began to lay out in the Guangdong market and set up a modern automobile service enterprise.
On April 7, Nanfang + learned from GAC Auto Trade that its franchise store Guangzhou Toyota ushered in the 40th anniversary celebration, which is also the first batch of Sino-Japanese cooperative modern automobile service enterprises in South China after the reform and opening up.
It is understood that Guangzhou Toyota was born on March 20, 1982, in the early stage of entrepreneurship, Toyota Motor provided it with maintenance technology and equipment, and sent Japanese technicians to guide the factory, and quickly established a "trinity" Toyota service system including automobile repair, parts supply, and technical training. Subsequently, in 1985, China and Japan cooperated to establish the "Toyota Motor China South Training Center", introduced Toyota related equipment, and trained more than 4,000 first-generation technical backbones, and the training center was also known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" of modern maintenance technicians. At the end of the 1980s, Guangzhou Toyota engineering and technical personnel made a breakthrough through independent research on Lexus maintenance technology and maintenance technology, and took the lead in mastering the new technology of electronically controlled automobile maintenance in the country, and was recognized as a "high-tech automobile maintenance center" by Toyota Motor Corporation.
Guangwu Auto Trade said that when the automobile service industry was in the initial stage of "scattered, chaotic, dirty and poor" and "only talking about skills, not mentioning service", Guangzhou Toyota took the lead in building a professional automobile maintenance plant and developing a "customer service-oriented" business process and service model.
At present, Guangzhou Toyota has become the first batch of FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota 4S stores, and has established FAW Toyota Guangzhou Shahe Store, GAC Toyota Yuanfeng Phoenix Store, and GAC Toyota Foshan Zhongyuan Store, which have repeatedly achieved good results in development and won social recognition. At the same time, Guangzhou Toyota opened the Yuanfeng Automobile Vocational Training School to cultivate a new generation of technical talents and professional teachers for the automotive industry, and has now developed into a comprehensive service enterprise engaged in automotive services and vocational education.
