In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 300 horsepower and a peak torque of 370 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, and equipped with a GR-FOUR all-wheel drive system, a four-wheel drive system designed for rally racing, providing front/rear power distribution at 60:40, 50:50 and 30:70, and the Circuit edition is also equipped with front and rear Tossen limited-slip differentials for better cornering performance and stronger grip.
The new car will be produced at the GR plant in Motomachi, Japan, which uses many manual assembly techniques and places a strong emphasis on quality. According to Toyota's previous product planning of one GR a year in the Chinese market, it is estimated that it will really be sold in 2024.
