One of the points that has been criticized by the previous open world is the sense of fragmentation of the main line branches. A typical example is the town of Krosten: on the one hand, the main line is busy flipping Otto and saving the world, while the other side helps Susana deal with the frivolity every 24 hours.
But in the new open world this has been well optimized, and the main line mode is separated from the exploration mode. When you want to experience the plot, you can concentrate on enjoying it in the story mode without being disturbed by the side lines; if you want to experience the levels, do the side lines, swipe the rewards, you can also concentrate on playing in the exploration mode.
