It exported 40,500 and 33,315 units in January and February, respectively, and sold 59,846 and 56,515 units in China, respectively.
In terms of the new plant, on March 22, Tesla's Berlin plant in Germany was officially opened, and 30 Model Y models manufactured at the first Berlin plant were delivered, with an expected annual production capacity of 500,000 units.
At the same time, on April 7, Tesla will also usher in the opening of the fourth super factory, the Texas factory. It is reported that the factory covers an area of more than 12,140 acres, will become the largest Tesla gigafactory, according to the plan will be used to produce 4680 batteries equipped with 4680 batteries of Thira Model Y and Cyberruck electric pickup trucks, is expected to produce about 500,000 vehicles per year.
It is reported that with the commissioning of the new factory, the production capacity of Tesla's four major factories is expected to reach about 2.3 million units by the end of 2022, which shows that Tesla's goal of delivering 1.5 million new cars in 2022 is not difficult to achieve. At the same time, Tesla said that at present, its US orders have been scheduled until next year, and Tesla's global delivery volume is expected to continue to increase in the next quarter.
It is worth mentioning that due to the impact of the epidemic, Tesla's Shanghai factory has stopped production twice in March, and the plan to resume production on April 1 has been postponed again. Unlike SAIC Volkswagen's parts shortage, Tesla's production plan for a closed factory ended with a shortage of living materials.
