Liu Yanjing, born in October 1962, is a native of Chuanzi Village, Fengyang Town, Qianxian County, Shaanxi Province, with a university education. He once served as the director of the Practical Training Center of Xianyang Vocational and Technical College, the general secretary of the party branch of the technician college, and the general secretary of the party branch of the automobile college. Since childhood, he has loved painting, studied under Professor Sun Yaosheng of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, and immersed himself in the study of Master Xu Beihong's "Running Horse Diagram", from which he absorbed the artistic nutrition of the organic combination of shape, color and light. Over the years, he has adhered to the creative principle of "external teacher creation, middle-aged heart xuan", and transformed the black extension into a life. It is not informal, liberated from traditional techniques, tempered with pen and ink, and strengthened with simple and powerful brushwork. His horses are varied and have a huge momentum that is running by themselves, thus forming a style of painting horses of their own. In addition to painting horses, he is also good at painting tigers, and his "King's Out Tour" was successfully auctioned for 6,000 yuan per square foot at the 2010 Spring Contemporary Auction of Beijing Hanhai Four Seasons.
