No, I don't think so, I've driven both models, and I can pat my chest and say, both cars are great, but strangely enough, consumers just don't pay. So this comparison, I use the newly listed 2022 Mazda CX-5 highest matching model, 2.5L automatic four-wheel drive ZunYao (hereinafter referred to as CX-5), manufacturer guidance price of 236,800 yuan; compared with the five-seat version of the highest model in GAC Mitsubishi Outlander, the 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L four-wheel drive version (hereinafter referred to as Outlander), the manufacturer guidance price of 197,800 yuan.
Appearance part: Both cars sell average but look good

Whether the interior is good or not, the dimension that needs to be compared should be whether it is easy to use and comfortable to sit up? Inside the car, at first glance, the interior design of the new CX-5 does not change significantly from the old model. The much-maligned 7-inch center screen on the older model was upgraded to the same 8.8-inch widescreen as the OncoSera, and the car system was changed to a Mi-Drive system, but the CD player was eliminated. The new system does not support touch control, can only use the knob and buttons behind the gear, supports CarPlay/CarLife.
The dashboard has changed from the old model mechanical-based, LCD-supplemented display mode to a semi-LCD instrument based on a 7-inch LCD screen, and the speed and driving information are concentrated on this screen, and the display effect is more intuitive.
For home SUVs, the atmosphere and spatial performance in the car are also important factors affecting comfort. In addition to the low-end models, other models of Orlander use similar carbon fiber texture trim plates in the doors and center console trims, while the seats and door panels are covered with leather materials with diamond-shaped grains, effectively enhancing the luxurious temperament of the whole vehicle and creating a more comfortable riding atmosphere.

In contrast, Outlander, equipped with imitation leather seats, is only equipped with electric adjustment in the main driver, but the front seats are also equipped with seat heating. All three of the rear seats are also equipped with independent headrests, backrest support adjustment, and rear seats also support proportional reclining. However, due to the advantages in body size, plus the entire back is relatively flat after the rear drain is reversed, I believe that it will have more advantages when reprinting large items.
In the interior comparison part, I think that in terms of practicality, the CX-5 may not be able to dominate, but in terms of technology and luxury, there is no doubt that the CX-5 has more advantages. Performance: Better than who opens the link on the CX-5 and Outlander have their own biases

In terms of power, CX-5's Chuangchi Blue Sky engine is indeed very set, powerful and relatively fuel-efficient, the city is very comfortable to drive CX-5, the throttle response is very brisk, and the engine and gearbox are very well matched. Moreover, the CX-5's transmission shift logic and TCU's judgment of the driver's driving intentions are great, and it can give the most reasonable gear range at the right time, which is Mazda's unique learning. It is not an exaggeration to say that within 300,000 yuan, the engine and the gearbox are matched, and the CX-5 is difficult to find an opponent.
Outlander this set of powertrain, although it is a CVT gearbox, but do not underestimate this CVT gearbox, willing to start, the adjustment method is more rushed, belongs to the kind of one step, very dexterous. But what really makes an advantage is the gearbox's contribution to fuel consumption, and I test-drive the Outlander fuel consumption at around 9 liters per hundred kilometers, while the CX-5 is around 10.5 liters per hundred kilometers anyway. Buying a car cannot be ignored without looking at fuel consumption, especially now that the price of oil is so high.
In terms of chassis, the chassis structure of the CX-5 adopts the front McPherson and rear multi-link structure. The four-wheel drive system adopts a timely four-wheel drive system relying on multi-piece clutches, and this chassis has no ability to speak of, but under the city rotation and high-speed cruise, this chassis is excellent in terms of tuning and texture.
Outlander also uses the front McPherson, rear multi-link suspension form. But in terms of adjusted style, it is tough a lot. The comfort in the city is not as good as the CX-5, but this timely four-wheel drive system, which also relies on multi-piece clutches, is much stronger than the CX-5 in terms of the ability to walk badly, and occasionally sprinkles a happy on the sand, and walking in the mud is not a big problem, and the CX-5 wants to be so wild, basically no play.
