Some people say that among the women depicted in "Water Margin", the third lady has the most taste, which is not false at all. Compared with Sun Erniang and Gu Dajie, Hu Sanniang was born in a large family, and was naturally influenced by the etiquette of poetry and books from an early age. Such a tall and handsome girl, who had also practiced a good martial art, was not only far higher than her husband Wang Xiaohu, but also higher than many other liangshan leaders. Her ranking among the 108 generals was far higher than that of Gu Dajie and Sun Erniang. Her stride across the horse and sword will dump many heroes. Come to think of it, third lady Hu's words and demeanor, scheming, and character will be above Gu Dajie and Sun Erniang.
In ancient Chinese literature, some respectable heroines have been portrayed, such as Hua Mulan, Mu Guiying, Liang Hongyu and so on. The successful portrayal of these three heroines in "Water Margin" has enriched the gallery of ancient Chinese heroines, which is a very gratifying thing. The stories of these heroines tell us that in China, not only men have heroic style, women also have heroic style, and women who meet the standards of heroes will be more convincing and loved than male heroes.
In the Liangshan contingent, women are by no means limited to these three, and among those who are called minions, there should be not too few women. Especially in the ministry of logistics and so on, there should be women. It's just that "Water Margin" uses pen and ink to describe the generals, and the women in the generals are only three. These three can only become generals, have their own merits, and have remarkable places.
