Huawei Guo Huipeng: It is expected that safe, efficient and large-scale autonomous driving will be basically realized by 2030

Guo Huipeng, chief engineer and chief scientist of Huawei's smart city, said at the 2022 Electric Vehicle 100 Forum that Huawei and more than 1,000 experts in the industry last year did more than 2,000 discussions, forming a new global ICT industry outlook - Intelligent World 2030.

Huawei Guo Huipeng: It is expected that safe, efficient and large-scale autonomous driving will be basically realized by 2030

Huawei looks forward to the overall development trend to 2030 from eight aspects: food, clothing, housing, cities, enterprises, energy, and digital credibility. Among them, in terms of travel, Guo Huipeng pointed out that the development of vehicle electrification, autonomy, networking and sharing will continue to advance. It is estimated that by 2030, electric vehicles account for 50%, autonomous new vehicles will reach 20%, network penetration rate will reach 60%, sharing will improve traffic efficiency, promote low-carbon travel, in addition, by 2030 Huawei is expected to basically achieve safe, efficient, large-scale autonomous driving.

In terms of enterprises, Guo Huipeng pointed out that it is expected that by 2030, every 10,000 manufacturing employees will work together with nearly 400 robots to alleviate the labor gap; cloud service expenditure will account for 87%, AI computing ratio will reach 7%; and the new production model will meet personalized needs.

Guo Huipeng said that there are still three challenges in realizing the dual-intelligence integration of intelligent networking and smart cities: First, smart cities and intelligent networks have their own challenges, and they are also in the process of continuous promotion and continuous improvement. Integrated development should think about how to better complete the top-level design of dual-intelligence integration. Second, it is necessary to form better infrastructure construction standards. Third, explore some of the value scenarios of dual-intelligence integration to provide services for the commercial success of the future.

In this regard, Huawei suggested that the first is to strengthen some of the top-level design of the dual-intelligence integration in combination with the problems faced in the front, and more to clarify its lead organization, and then strengthen the combination of some bilateral experiences to continuously coordinate and connect and promote.

Second, the standard specification of the digitization of the road network needs to be accelerated.

Third, the city-level platform needs to be continuously deepened and effectively integrated with the existing system of the city, because at this stage, in fact, any city, its digital construction is not simply from 0, but to have an effective integration with the existing system.

Fourth, in terms of the scene exploration of dual-intelligence integration, some applications in the field of smart cities and the development of intelligent networking can be effectively combined, and then combined with the progress of existing 5G, the city's computing power resources and the penetration rate of intelligent networked vehicles to effectively promote.
