On 16 March, Aston Martin unveiled the all-new V12 Vantage model in Gayden, UK. Although it is a new model that has just been launched, its limited order of 333 units has been sold out. According to reliable sources, this is also the last V12 engine model of Aston Martin, as an upgraded version of the Vantage, the new car positioned more high-end, while using more collectible value.
In terms of power, the car is powered by a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with a maximum power of 700 horsepower and a maximum torque of 753 Nm, matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which is the most powerful powertrain ever in the Vantage series. It has a top speed of more than 300 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.
The wheelbase of the new V12 Vantage is 40 mm wider than that of the previous model, further increasing the width of its body. The optimised aerodynamic components produce up to 204 kg of downforce at maximum power. The brakes come standard with carbon-ceramic brakes, with a front disc of 410 mm, equipped with 6-piston calipers and a rear disc of 360 mm, equipped with 4-piston calipers, so that its braking force is perfectly matched to performance. And the complete set of carbon ceramic brake system compared to the steel brake system weight reduction of 23 kg, effectively reducing the under-spring mass.
The V12 Vantage is equipped with 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot 4S performance tires as standard, with 275/35R21 specifications for the front wheels and 315/30R21 specifications for the rear wheels. Although the V12 Vantage has a larger powertrain and body, its lightweight is in place, including a carbon fiber front bumper, bonnet, front fender and side sill, bumper and tail compartment cover, and lightweight batteries. And the exhaust system made of lightweight alloy is also 7.2 kg lighter than the previous Vantage. A new carbon fiber skeleton seat is also available, which can reduce the weight by another 7.3 kg.
