On March 17, Audi showed off the A6 Avant e-tron concept, which is close to mass production, which is 5 meters long and has a range of up to 700 kilometers under WLT conditions. It uses the same PPE platform as the A6 Sportback e-tron sedan audi released last year, which will also be used in the future Q6 and Porsche Macan electric crossovers.

The motors and batteries of the A6 Avant e-tron will use an 800-volt system with a charging power of up to 270 kilowatts and a battery capacity of approximately 100 kWh. Audi said that when using fast charging, the model only takes 10 minutes to increase the range of about 300 kilometers.

The concept car's form factor helps reduce air resistance, with 22-inch wheels, shorter front suspension and streamlined appearance being the most important features. Notably, the vehicle uses a camera-based virtual exterior mirror, a design that adds more futurism to the A6 Avant e-tron.

The car is also equipped with advanced lighting elements, including four high-resolution LED projectors and digital matrix LED headlights integrated in the four corners of the vehicle. When the vehicle is parked or charged against the wall, it is theoretically possible for the occupants of the vehicle to pass the time by projecting on the wall and through video games.

The design of the front of the car is very eye-catching, such as the inverted grille, which has a deep air intake at the bottom to cool the powertrain, batteries and brakes. Integrated lighting and sensors are also installed around the grille. Interestingly, car owners can customize the pattern of daytime running lights. The production version of the A6 Avant e-tron is expected to go on sale in 2024.
