Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Russians have been actively snapping up mobile phones such as Apple and Samsung. But later, the price of these mobile phones has soared to varying degrees or even stopped selling, making Russians turn to buy other mobile phone brands.
On March 16, local time, Russian mobile operator MTS said that in early March, Chinese smartphone sales in Russia doubled on average, including brands such as Huawei, OPPO, vivo and realme.
MTS retail data shows that since March 1, Huawei's mobile phone sales have increased by 300%, followed by OPPO and vivo, with an increase of 200%, ZTE has increased by 100%, and realme has increased by 80%. At present, only vivo responds that the doubling of sales is true.
Analysts believe that the surge in sales of domestic mobile phones in Russia is mainly related to inventory. After the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Apple, Samsung and other mobile phones have been fiercely snapped up, and these companies are affected by their countries and have no way to make up for inventory. The domestic mobile phone has enough inventory in the warehouse, and the Russian Mobile Phone Chamber recommends this part of the mobile phone to consumers, and there has been a sales increase.
If the situation in Russia and Ukraine does not improve to a certain extent, it will be difficult for Western mobile phone companies to enter the Russian market. This will also bring a good opportunity to Chinese mobile phone companies, the future of domestic mobile phones will usher in the spring in the Russian market, sales may further rise.
