Alpina is a car company based in Bavaria, Germany, and although it is often considered a modification plant for BMW models, it has actually achieved T V certification as a car manufacturer.
Many people think that M-Power is BMW's royal performance upgrade brand, in fact, M-Power can only be regarded as a performance department of BMW, and the real royal modification brand is Alpina. There is no affiliation between Alpina and BMW, it is different from the general modification factory, Alpina will put her own logo on the modified BMW model, with its own frame number.
Known for its outstanding performance and personalized configuration, Alpina's modified BMW cars can modify almost everything from the 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, to 6 Series and Z4.
Alpina sells primarily in the European market, but also has customers in Japan, the United States and the Middle East. In October 2016, Albina tried to enter the Chinese market, and simultaneously introduced The Alpina B4 BITURBO, priced at 1.1 million, sold in 3 BMW 4S stores in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, but the final result was not popular, the reason is that the brand's popularity is too low in China, and its high price makes many people not consume it.
At present, BMW mainly has three independent car brands bmw, MINI and Rolls-Royce, and Alpina will become the fourth member of the BMW Group.
However, the modification cooperation agreement between BMW and Alpina was renewed at the end of 2020, so the modification cooperation will last until December 31, 2025. During this period, Albina Automotive will continue to develop and produce at its Bugelloe plant in Germany, where BMW will also support Albina by retrofitting the plant in the coming years.
According to reports, from 2026, The production of Albina's vehicles at its headquarters in Buchloe will be completed, while the original service, parts and accessories business will continue. At that time, the BMW Group will offer Albina employees positions in the BMW Group or suppliers.
