As far as we know, the Berlin factory has only produced Model Y Performance models so far, and as of last month, factory staff revealed that they have produced more than 1,000 Model Y performance models, but recently, some pictures indicate that they have begun to add the model Y long-endurance version to their production list.
According to the photos, four VIN vehicles ending in 1650, 1665, 1666 and 1694 were officially added to the production queue, which is consistent with what we reported earlier, all the vehicles added this time are not equipped with radar, which is also different from the Model Y Performance model produced by the Berlin factory (the performance version contains radar), in addition, due to the long-endurance version produced this time, They didn't add spoilers when they were produced, and they didn't come with 20-inch rims, they just produced 19-inch ones.
The main reason for the test production is that Tesla needs to determine whether they want to make changes to the production line to meet the production of long-endurance and performance versions of the model, and the final production results are unknown, but according to our sources, the road test went very smoothly and there were no major failures along the way.
Although after several months of delay, Tesla finally got the environmental permit, and formal production may soon begin, but we also need to know that Tesla only needs to meet more than 400 "conditions and requirements" related to groundwater protection, species protection measures, etc., before the vehicles produced in the Berlin factory can be officially rolled off the production line.
