German environmental groups have called for the revocation of the business license of Tesla's Berlin factory

Last month, it was reported that about 15,000 liters of paint mixture had leaked out of the factory's paint shop, and Tesla later said the material, which was classified as "non-hazardous" by the German Environment Agency, was completely captured and collected in a collection tank, which was then extracted by an approved waste disposal company.

And according to the RBB24 report, about 2 to 3 litres of paint mixture flowed into a channel one day after the accident. According to them, the mixture passed through an aquifer of an unpaved protective area (in some cases, the German National Environment Agency classified the leaking paint mixture as a Class 1 water hazard and diesel was classified as a Class 2 hazardous substance), while according to the Green Alliance, if the application documents for the immersion control permit at the Berlin plant in Germany indicated, the area should have been blocked, but according to their knowledge, the area has not been sealed and stacked so far.

"To avoid greater damage, they asked the region to ban the operation of Tesla's Berlin plant until the defect is corrected and conditions corresponding to the emission control permit are established," the group said, adding that if the region does not respond to its recent call for the revocation of the operating license for Tesla's Berlin plant, it will call on the Ministry of the Environment to intervene, although according to the State government of Brandenburg, where Tesla's Berlin plant is located, they believe the Berlin plant will not pose a danger to groundwater. And if precautionary measures are taken immediately, incidents involving water pollutants will not have any impact on places outside the plant site.
