Benjamin Raschke, head of the Brandenburg Green Council group, said that if Russia decides to stop the delivery of German gas, then the Tesla factory will be "immediately shut down" because 60% of the plant's energy demand depends on natural gas, Raschke said: "If Russia closes the gas supply to Germany, then hospitals and schools will have a high priority on energy, And a company like Tesla that runs a large industrial project will be the first to have to close its doors (after months of delays, Tesla's Berlin factory just started operating in February this year)."
And in addition to Tesla's Berlin factory, a chemical plant in Schwarzheide and a cement plant in Rüdersdorf are two prime examples of what other large industrial companies will suffer.
