On the morning of February 28, 2022, the opening ceremony of "The Spirit of Porcelain - 2021 Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale" was held at the Art Museum of Jingdezhen Ceramic University. The biennale was launched on December 18 last year, but due to the epidemic, the opening was postponed to February 28. The exhibition is co-sponsored by Jingdezhen Municipal People's Government, Jingdezhen Ceramic University, China International Culture Group Co., Ltd. and International Ceramics Society, and co-organized by China Foreign Art Exhibition Co., Ltd., Jingdezhen Tao Cultural Tourism Holding Group Co., Ltd., International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, Art Museum, Ceramic Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design and Art and College of Foreign Chinese. 01: Exhibition Overview
"The Spirit of Porcelain - 2021 Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale" has attracted 2,344 works from all over the world since the beginning of preparation. After three rounds of online and one round of strict physical evaluation, 206 works from different countries and regions were finally selected. These works all take ceramic culture as the theme, and show the possibility and innovation of the diversified development of ceramic culture in the form of five major carriers such as utensils, sculptures, paintings, installations and videos.

Jingdezhen ceramics is one of the representative types of artworks in traditional Chinese culture, and its development undertakes the mission of reviving China's excellent traditional culture.
In May 2019, when General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected Jiangxi, he made an important instruction to "build a good Jingdezhen National Ceramic Culture Inheritance and Innovation Pilot Zone and create a new platform for foreign cultural exchanges". In July of the same year, the State Council officially approved the establishment of the Jingdezhen National Ceramic Culture Inheritance and Innovation Pilot Zone, which reflects the strategic vision and strategy of the state to accelerate the development of ceramic culture.

Professor Lu Pinchang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, served as one of the main curators of this time. Professor Lv Pinchang is currently the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, the Dean, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor of the Ceramic Art Research Institute of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Vice Chairman of the China Urban Sculptors Association, the Director of the China Artists Association, the Deputy Director and Secretary General of the Sculpture Art Committee, the Vice President of the Chinese Sculpture Society, and the member of the International Ceramics Society (IAC).

Lives and works in Wenabigde, Norway. He studied at the Norwegian School of Applied Arts in Bergen (Bergen College of Art and Design). Professor at the Faculty of Design and Technology, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, 1996-2000, Professor at the National University of Art and Design, Stockholm, Sweden, 1978-present, Member of the Norwegian Society of Arts and Crafts, Member of the International Society of Ceramics (IAC) since 1990, and President of the International Society of Ceramics (IAC) since 2018.
Professor Lv Pinchang said that this biennale is intended to call on the public to pay attention to the spirit and significance of ceramic materials in contemporary art in the era of the epidemic. As a carrier for the dissemination of human common language, ceramic art should pay attention to regional characteristics and respect cultural diversity. At the same time, the "Biennale" advocates the transformation and development of both inheritance and innovation, and looks forward to the future of the integration of traditional culture and contemporary consciousness.

03: White - Italian Contemporary Ceramic Art Exhibition
2022 is the "Year of Sino-Italian Culture and Tourism". In response to the theme of "Integration of Culture and Tourism", China International Culture Group has planned the "Bai - Italian Contemporary Ceramic Art Exhibition" as a special exhibition unit of "The Spirit of Porcelain - Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale" under the framework of the Biennale, and will hold the opening ceremony of the exhibition on March 2, 2022.
