The unquenchable kiln fire of the millennium has bred the thick ceramic culture of Jingdezhen, lit up the long journey of the "Belt and Road", and ignited the brilliant brilliance of Chinese civilization.
For thousands of years, Jingdezhen ceramics have "traveled in the nine domains and extended to the outside world", based on Chinese aesthetics, brought culture, science and technology and life enjoyment to East Asian and European countries, and quietly became the disseminator of Chinese culture, an important cultural symbol for the world to understand China and China to the world.
At present, Jingdezhen continues to enhance cultural consciousness, strengthen cultural self-confidence, and take the initiative to assume the mission of the times to tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese culture. Since 2019, bearing in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's entrustment of "building a good Jingdezhen National Ceramic Culture Inheritance and Innovation Pilot Zone and creating a new platform for foreign cultural exchanges", we have focused on the overall deployment of the central government's "three new and one high", combined with the construction of the national pilot zone, and fully matched the requirements for the creation of the "East Asian Cultural Capital", highlighting the work in five aspects:

Heritage protection has reached new heights
Jingdezhen took the opportunity of applying for the imperial kiln site as an opportunity to take the protection and utilization of cultural heritage as the "No. 1 project", and was awarded the titles of "World Capital of Handicrafts and Folk Art", "National Copyright Demonstration City", "National Civilized City" and "National Sanitary City". At present, Jingdezhen has 13 national security companies, 4 national industrial heritage sites, 4 national intangible cultural heritage projects and 13 national non-genetic inheritors, all of which are at the forefront of prefecture-level cities in the country. In particular, there are more than 3,000 national, provincial and municipal arts and crafts masters, ceramic art masters, skill masters, and non-hereditary inheritors.

Public services have been improved
Jingdezhen City strives to create a demonstration area of the national public cultural service system as the starting point, and strives to improve service standards, digital level, and per capita proportion. Actively carry out the protection of the old town, the old porcelain factory, and the old lane, vigorously expand the urban cultural space, especially start to upgrade nearly a thousand art studios, enterprise exhibition halls, and folk collections into non-state-owned museums, and create a "museum city".

The cultural tourism industry has achieved new results
With the goal of building a world-famous ceramic cultural tourism destination, Jingdezhen has used the strength of the whole city to develop the cultural tourism industry, and has invested nearly 100 billion yuan to create new urban landmarks such as Taoyangli Royal Kiln Scenic Area, Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Block, and Taoyuan Valley Art Scenic Spot, and do a good job in deeply integrating cultural tourism articles, so that cultural relics can be alive, culture can flourish, and industries can flourish.

There is a new pattern of foreign exchanges
Jingdezhen has made every effort to do a good job in the "Please Come In, Go Out" article, and 72 countries and more than 180 sister cities to carry out extensive exchanges and cooperation, actively participate in the "Perception of China", "Chinese Culture Year", "China Today" and other national cultural brand activities, has held a number of "Perception of China • Silk Road Porcelain Line" ceramic culture exhibitions around the world, held 18 consecutive international ceramic expositions, and continued to carry out international cultural exchange activities with East Asian and European countries.

Create a new leap forward in work
Jingdezhen City has adopted local legislation to improve the legal system for the protection and utilization of cultural relics, included the creation of the "East Asian Cultural Capital" in the overall plan for the construction of the national pilot zone and the "14th Five-Year Plan", deepened the "2+9" policy system, and mobilized the whole city, participated in the whole people, and acted on a global scale.
