In the golden autumn of October 1728, Tang Ying, a 46-year-old Shenyang native, with his own ceramic dream, set foot on the land of Jingdezhen, Jiangxi for the first time as the assistant officer of the Imperial Kiln Factory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Jingdezhen. 294 years have passed, and to this day, Jingdezhen is still a sacred place in the hearts of bafang craftsmen.
Tonight's "China Is So Beautiful", from Taiwan, is also the first time to come to Jingdezhen, the Combs band, will be led by the cultural planner Dongfang County, push open the doors of the "Chinese porcelain capital" to explore the people there, and their lives.
"Can't understand" the trunk
When Commus and his party met the white-robed wizard Gandalf, the contemporary artist Gan Daofu, it just so happened that one of his wood kiln works was about to be baked.
Different from the electric kiln and gas kiln with precise temperature control, the wood kiln, this primitive firing, the dialogue between fire and earth, is not affected by manpower, and the difference between color and burnt waste is often a line. Randomness brings great surprises and artistic enjoyment, and the creator's persistence in the wood kiln is more persistent than the instinct to show off.
In 2002, Gan Daofu returned to Jingdezhen Ceramics Institute to pursue graduate studies in the direction of modern blue and white. At that time, even in the only ceramic institution of higher learning in the country, modern blue and white was only a very vague concept, and no one knew what kind of presentation it should be. Gan Daofu has made many attempts to interpret the modern blue and white porcelain art in his heart.
I don't understand it, which is the first feeling that many people have when they see the porcelain paintings of GanDaofu. Even the evaluation of "thrown on the side of the road, sweeping the floor is not wanted" has also been heard. "The road to creation is lonely", whether it is the lead singer who stays permanently when writing songs, or the trunk road when conceiving works, "on the road of exploration, there is no one to accompany".

Year after year, the work is released from the tip of Gan Daofu's pen and reborn in the fire, freezing time and retaining the years. "I used the loss of life, put it into the dirt, and it became porcelain."
"Blind brother" is not blind
Luo Guoxin, although the Jianghu people call "blind brother", has a pair of eyes that find beauty.
In the blind brother's studio, there was not a single piece of porcelain intact. Many of the ancient porcelain pieces in Jingdezhen originate from the remnants of the official kilns of the Song And Yuan dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties, perhaps just a small flaw, the glaze stagnation, uneven hair color, so that they have no connection with the court, and the crushed bones are buried deep in the ground.
Over the years, like an incomprehensible "fool", the blind brother collected ancient porcelain pieces from all over Jingdezhen, cleaned, sorted, and spliced them one by one, trying to find them as they were.
The blind brother who originally did business in Beijing was also considered to have a successful career, but he was coincidental and "on the bar" with ancient porcelain. From the bustling capital to Jingdezhen, thousands of kilometers away, his life has since been accompanied only by broken porcelain. In order for the ancient court to prefer jade crushing to the porcelain that did not want to flow into the folk, and to be able to reproduce the glory in front of today's world, he did not hesitate to scatter tens of millions of family wealth and even borrow debts.

It's not just porcelain

Before accepting the job, Ke Jia was an opera singer who studied lyrical tenor in Germany for 14 years, Jingdezhen, which was his hometown.
After the completion of the latest grand theater in Jiangxi Province, he has always wanted to set up a professional opera troupe to perform here for a long time, but the difficulties of talent introduction and the impact of the market environment, the dream has always been just a dream.
