The liling ceramic museum quality improvement project is one of the thirty landmark projects of the integration of Changzhutan and is a key project of the provincial government. At this year's provincial "two sessions", Su Xiang, a member of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, put forward "suggestions on supporting the construction of the Liling Ceramic Museum".

In September last year, the Liling Ceramics Museum, the World Ceramics Science Popularization Museum, and the Famous Chinese Ceramics Historical and Cultural City Museum were transformed into a new Liling Ceramics Museum, and the total area of the renovated museum increased from the original 3400 square meters to 16598 square meters. At the same time, the 12,000 precious cultural relics in the collection of the former Hunan Ceramic Research Institute were also handed over to the Liling Ceramic Museum, at present, the museum has 29,922 cultural relics, including 16 first-class cultural relics, and 2721 pieces (sets) of ceramic products are displayed. Liling Ceramics Museum has basically built the country's largest ceramics collection, display, inheritance, experience and research in one of the ceramics museum.

In Su Xiang's view, to support the construction of the Liling Ceramic Museum, it is necessary to focus on supporting the protection and management of cultural relics in the collection. At present, the ceramic museum has a collection of 20,000 pieces of porcelain, and the existing cultural relics warehouse area is small, and the storage conditions are simple, which cannot meet the protection and management conditions of porcelain. She suggested that the Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics guide and support the Liling Ceramic Museum to do a good job in the preventive protection of cultural relics of porcelain in the collection.

At the same time, Su Xiang also proposed to build a national first-class museum as soon as possible. On the one hand, we will increase the research and promotion of Liling ceramic culture, hold expert seminars on Liling ceramic culture, publish and edit books related to Liling ceramics, and hold special exhibitions of Liling ceramics in other provinces to increase external exchanges; on the other hand, strengthen internal management and hardware construction, continuously improve public service capabilities and levels, and strive to complete the evaluation of national first-class museums within three years.
