There are both fierce tigers who bravely move forward and tigers who watch everything, both playful and cute cute tigers and avant-garde anthropomorphic thought tigers... Following the first exhibition of the new museum of Pudong Qunyi Museum, on February 15, the "Tiger and Tiger Life Style - The 7th Chinese Ceramic Zodiac Theme Series Exhibition" toured to the Meiguojian Ceramic Art Museum in Jinhai Culture and Arts Center.
Walking into the exhibition hall, it is a world of "hundred tigers" created by ceramics. The exhibition gathers 456 works (sets) of more than ten kilns and more than 30 ceramic types across the country. Creators of different eras and different regions use different artistic techniques to depict, outline, carve and shape the zodiac works, which are dazzling.
Since 2016, Mei Guojian, the director of the School of Ceramics of Pingdingshan University, who introduced talents in Pudong, planned and launched six series of ceramic zodiac theme exhibitions, which attracted 350,000 visitors. In 2021, the Mei Guojian Ceramic Art Museum, named after himself, was officially opened at the Jinhai Culture and Arts Center, and this year ushered in the zodiac exhibits he personally planned. Mei Guojian said that "tigers and tigers are full of wind" means to welcome the new spring and open a new chapter. Gold and red overflow the exhibition area, happy, excited, playful, vivid zodiac tiger, Spring Festival, Lantern lanterns in unison, but also provide a background for the audience to take photos and punch cards.
The exhibition will run until April 15.
