Developer Turtle Rock Studios today announced that Back 4 Blood has surpassed the 10 million player mark.
Last October, The Road Vieux's spiritual sequel, Blood Revenge, was released on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and by the end of that month, it had 6 million players. There's no doubt that joining Xbox Game Pass XGP has driven this number of growth.
Today also brings the news of the "Horror Tunnel", a "major" DLC that will arrive on April 12 as part of the game's annual pass. The DLC will add a new PVE campaign, new cleaner and cavalry variants, and more character and gun skins.
Ridden Hives, this expanded new PVE mode, is a four-player co-op dungeon crawler mode with seven different mazes to explore. Here you will find the new Warp Ridden enemy, which will also be added to the PvP Swarm mode.
Two new playable cleaners (Sharice, "A Firefighter Wielding An Axe" and "Heng," "A Non-Smiling Restaurateur"), 12 weapon skins, 8 character skins, 7 new legendary weapons, and a new difficulty setting.
A good move is that in your team, as long as one person has the "Horror Tunnel" expansion, all players in the group can play.
Turtle Rock also today also pledged not to add new microtransactions to the game as part of the DLC, or through any future content updates.
