Shenzhen Binhai Avenue (ABP Section) Traffic Comprehensive Renovation Project, starting from the Shahe East Road Interchange in the west, to the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway in the east, across the Nanshan and Futian districts, with a total length of 5,950 meters. Among them, the ABP section is sunk in its entirety, with a length of 1,560 meters in the sinking tunnel section and 4,390 meters in the ground reconstruction section.

After the renovation, the main line will be 8 lanes in both directions at a speed of 80 km/h, and the auxiliary road will be 6 lanes in both directions at a speed of 40 km/h.

The project adopts the integrated design of "sunken tunnel + underground harbor bus stop + Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen intercity station + super headquarters underground space", with the layout planning of five lines and six stations as the leading point, and the deep integration of urban design, traffic design, landscape environment and other disciplines, and the in-depth coordination of the relationship between multiple systems such as rail, bus, tunnel, and underground space development.

At present, the main structure of the sinking tunnel section has been completed, and the mechanical and electrical installation of the main line has been completed, and the opening conditions are met; The auxiliary road is carrying out mechanical and electrical installation and decoration work; The overall progress of the project is 98% complete.

The next step is to complete the mechanical and electrical installation and decoration of the auxiliary road of the sinking tunnel section, and complete the upper cavity, earthwork backfill, pipeline restoration and green covering project of the sinking tunnel section, and it is expected that the whole line will be basically ready for traffic in the second half of 2024.

The opening of the main line of the sinking tunnel section and the retention of the two relief roads on the south side as auxiliary roads for temporary use can effectively alleviate the traffic pressure in the eastbound direction of Binhai Avenue, solve the problem of congestion at traffic nodes such as Shahe East Interchange to Binhai Avenue and Shenzhen Bay Park No. 3 parking lot, and increase the traffic rate by about 40%.

At the same time, the opening of the main road also released the conflict nodes between the relief road and the auxiliary road, which is of great significance to the construction of the subsequent auxiliary road of the project and lays a solid foundation for the official opening of the whole project.

After the completion of the project, it will effectively connect the Guimiao Road Tunnel and Binhe Avenue to alleviate the traffic bottleneck in the headquarters base section of Binhai Avenue; The sinking tunnel is reserved for 2 entry and 2 exit ramps to connect the underground road network of Shenzhen Super Total, which can meet the large traffic arrival and departure needs generated by the development of Shenzhen Super Total; The Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base section will form a three-dimensional traffic of "ground + underground", which can effectively alleviate the traffic bottleneck of Binhai Avenue, and at the same time release a green space with an area of about 100,000 square meters, equivalent to the size of 14 standard football fields, eliminate the separation of Binhai Avenue from the Shenzhen Bay landscape belt, promote the integration of urban architecture and coastal landscape, provide higher quality public space, and create a new engine for the vitality of the Bay Area.
