Mr. Cheng Yuande was born in 1945 in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. He is a national first-class artist, a member of the Book Association of the Central State Organs, a member of the Calligraphy and Painting Art Exchange Center of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, a member of the China Yuelian Society, a member of the China Hard Pen Book Association, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Book Association, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Party Building and Painting, and a vice chairman of the National Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee.
Mr. Cheng Yuande is currently the Executive Vice President of the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Golden Shield Film and Television Center of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission, the Artistic Director of the Qingxuan Art Center, the President of the National Painting Institute of China, the Vice President of the China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting for International Exchange, the Vice President of the People's Daily Minsheng Calligraphy and Painting Art Institute, the Honorary President of the Forbidden City Calligraphy and Painting Institute in Taiwan, the Honorary Chairman of the Federation of Culture and Art of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Vice President of the Macao (SAR) Painting Institute, and the Vice President of the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Aerospace International Film and Television Center in Wenchang City, Hainan Province.
Mr. Cheng Yuande's artistic career and achievements are covered in full-page special reports in news media such as the overseas edition of People's Daily, China Daily, United Nations Daily, Time Magazine, China Talents, and special issues of Ziguang Pavilion. In recent years, Mr. Cheng Yuande has won the "Hundred Flowers Award for Chinese Art", the "Golden Bauhinia Award of the Republic", the "Gold Bauhinia Award of the Republic", the "National Intangible Art Inheritance Award", the first prize of the 9th "Xizhi Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition, the first prize of the "Hundred Schools of Contention Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition, and was awarded the "Special Contribution to the Peaceful Reunification of the Motherland", "The Representative of the Nineteenth National Congress of Literature and Art", the 19th "Annual Figure of The Great Collection of Chinese Century Style" of CCTV, the "Famous Artist of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Inheritance", "The Artist of the Most Collectible Value", Celebrating the centenary of the founding of the Party, honorary titles such as "Meritorious Artist" were celebrated. The fine works of calligraphy and painting have been collected by many international friends, museums and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
