On February 25, the "2021 Annual Nomination Artists Exhibition of the Watercolor Art Committee of the China Artists Association" was exhibited at the Guancheng Art Museum, with a total of 93 watercolor masterpieces by 12 artists to meet the public, which will continue to be exhibited until April 17, and the exhibition is sponsored by the Watercolor Art Committee of the China Artists Association, the Propaganda Department of the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Guancheng Subdistrict Office.
It is understood that compared with previous editions, the number of participants in this exhibition has been reduced, 12 artists and all of them are young painters, they are quick thinking, unique perspectives, and their works have different new forms of expression.
Among the 93 exhibited works, the new watercolor painting expression methods account for a large proportion, and the works have a strong representative of the times, reflecting the author's artistic thought and bold innovation of the expression language, and also reflecting the continuous emergence of new forces in watercolor painting.
In the past hundred years, Chinese watercolor art has formed a new style of Chinese watercolor in the process of exploration, resulting in a considerable watercolor art group, who have a simple and diligent spirit, and create masterpieces with distinct characteristics of the spirit of the times.
"New watercolor" is a new expression term of Chinese watercolor painting art, an important synonym for the pioneering development of Chinese watercolor in the new era, condensing the ideals and beliefs of a large number of young Chinese watercolor painters to inherit and develop Chinese watercolor painters, and also symbolizes the innovation of the times of Chinese watercolor. This exhibition is an important embodiment of the creative achievements of "New Watercolor".
"Many watercolor painters, especially young watercolor painters, have used the exploration of the 'new watercolor' language to open up a new space for China's 'new watercolor' in the new era." Chen Jian, director of the Watercolor Art Committee of the China Artists Association, said.
It is reported that since 2015, the "Annual Nominated Painters Exhibition of the Watercolor Painting Art Committee of the China Artists Association" has been held in Dongguan every year, and has been successfully held for seven sessions, and the Watercolor Art Committee of the China Artists Association, the Publicity Department of the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee and the Guancheng Street Office have also served as the organizers of the exhibition project for seven consecutive years.
In the past seven years, the exhibition has exhibited a total of 664 works by 135 watercolor painters with outstanding artistic achievements in China in recent years, making Dongguan an important boost to promote the development of Chinese watercolor art, and also deepening Dongguan's research and promotion of watercolor art.
At present, this special exhibition project that integrates professionalism and scholarship has not only become an important brand jointly created by the Watercolor Art Committee of the China Artists Association and Dongguan, but also become a highly academic and influential exhibition in the domestic watercolor painting industry, leaving a wonderful mark in the history of Chinese watercolor painting.
In the early spring of vitality, the "2021 Annual Nominated Painters Exhibition of the Watercolor Art Committee of the China Artists Association" was exhibited in Dongguan, providing a platform for display and exchange of watercolor painters across the country, promoting the promotion and development of watercolor art in Dongguan, and also providing high-quality cultural strength for Dongguan to build a "quality cultural capital" and start a new journey of "double ten thousand".
