The UFC 274 tournament, which will be held on May 8, Beijing time, will add a high-profile flyweight duel, Brandon Royval vs. Matt Schneier.

Brandon Royval (13-6, 3 K, 8 S) is 29 years old and has a height of 175cm arm span of 173cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2012, won the LFA Flyweight Championship in 2019, joined the UFC tournament in 2020 with a (10-4) result and two consecutive wins, first with two consecutive wins in the second set to tam Elliott and Kai Kara France, but then suffered two consecutive defeats by Brandon Moreno's first TKO, and was defeated by Alexander Elliott in the second set. Matt Schneier (15-5, 2 K, 8 S, 1 N) is 32 years old and has a height of 173cm and an arm span of 184cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2012, won the Legacy FC Flyweight Championship in 2016, and then entered the UFC event with a (10-2) result and seven consecutive wins, where he suffered two consecutive defeats at the UFC and was defeated by the first KO, but then won four consecutive wins, and was terminated by Alexandre Pantoja's first KO defeat in December 2019. Last January' divisive victory over Tyson Nam had just lost to Rogerio Bontorin in may, but after the match, Bertollin failed the drug test and was judged to be inconclusive. Schneier is currently ranked 9th in the UFC official rankings in the order of flies.

The tournament was the grand finale of two UFC official gold belt title battles, with current UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira (32-8, 9 K, 20 S, 1 N) against former interim champion Justin Geiki (23-3, 19 K, 1 S) against top challenger former interim champion. Current UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira (33-7, 18 K, 10 S) against challenger Giri Prohazka (28-3-1, 25 K, 2 S).

Bulgarian striker Boragoi Ivanov (18-4, 6 K, 6 S, 1 N) against Brazil's Marcos Rogerio de Rema (19-7-1, 14 K, 2 S). "Cowboys" Donald Ceroni (36-16, 10 K, 17 S, 2 N) vs Joe Lauzo (28-15, 9 K, 17 S).
