On May 8, Beijing time, the UFC 274 match will add a high-profile heavyweight showdown, bulgarian toughster Boragoi Ivanov against Brazil's Marcos Rogerio de Rema.

Bolagoi Ivanov (18-4, 6 K, 6 S, 1 N) is 35 years old and has a height of 180 cm with an arm span of 185 cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2007, winning the WSOF Heavyweight Championship in 2015 and defending the title four times in two consecutive years. He joined the UFC in 2018 with a (16-1) result and a five-game winning streak, and has achieved a (2-3) result at the UFC so far. Although losing to Junior dos Santos in UFC debut points, he went on to win two straight points against Ben Rothwell and Tai Tuivasa. He recently suffered two consecutive defeats, losing to Derrick Lewis in a divergent decision in November 2019 and Augusto Sakai in a disagreement decision in May 2020. Ivanov is currently ranked 13th in the UFC official rankings in the heavyweight category.

Marcos Rogerio de Rimal (19-7-1, 14 K, 2 S) is 36 years old and has a height of 185cm with an arm span of 191cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2009 and entered the UFC tournament in 2014 with a (11-2-1) result and three consecutive wins and 1 draw, and has achieved a (8-5) result in the UFC. After losing the second set by Stefan Struve in 2019, Ben Sosoli in the first set in February 2020, lost in the first set by Alexander Romanov in November, and recently won two consecutive wins, last May, the point victory over Maurice Greene, just in november the first set TKO Ben Rothwell)。

The tournament was the grand finale of two UFC official gold belt title battles, with current UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira (32-8, 9 K, 20 S, 1 N) against former interim champion Justin Geiki (23-3, 19 K, 1 S) against top challenger former interim champion. Current UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira (33-7, 18 K, 10 S) against challenger Giri Prohazka (28-3-1, 25 K, 2 S). There was also a women's showdown between American women's Messi Chasen (7-2, 2 K, 2 S) against Brazilian women Norma Dumont (7-1, 0 K, 2 S).
