The next championship defense battle of the current UFC women's grassweight champion Ross Namajunas has finally been determined, and the challenger is former champion Carla Espaza, and the match will start on May 8, 274 of the UFC in Phoenix, USA.
Ross Namajunas (11-4, 2 K, 5 S) is 29 years old and has a height of 165cm with an arm span of 165cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2013 and entered the UFC tournament with a (2-1) result in 2014, where his first match at the UFC was defeated by Carla Esparza in the third inning. Rose won the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship Gold Belt in the first TKO of 2017 by Joanna Jedrzejczyk, defending the title in 2018 with Joanna's second-match points. Unfortunately, the first defending battle of 2015 was lost by Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the second set of TKO, and the next few games were in a state of between victory and loss, after being defeated by Tatiana Suarez's TKO in the third set in 2018, there has been a wave of five consecutive wins since 2019, beating Virna Jandiroba and Alexa in points Alexa Grasso, Michelle Waterson and Marina Rodriguez, just after TKO China's Yan Xiaonan in the third set last May. Espazar is currently no. 2 in the women's grassweight in the official UFC rankings.
