What is even more unexpected is that in 1132 AD, Li Qingzhao, who was already 48 years old, would be imprisoned and sentenced to 2 years in prison. This makes people wonder, what exactly happened to make the weak Li Qingzhao suffer from imprisonment?
First, Li Qingzhao's first emotional experience
Li Qingzhao's origin is very superior, her father Li Gefei, and her grandfather are all students of the Northern Song Dynasty prime minister Han Qi, Li Gefei was even admitted to the jinshi at the age of 31, and has since embarked on a career.
Li Gefei in the official field served as a foreign minister of ceremonies, and once worshiped under Su Shi's door, and together with Liao Zhengyi, Li Xi, and Dong Rong, he was known as the "Four Scholars of Sumen".
In the Northern Song Dynasty, where scholars and tianzi ruled the world together, Li Gefei was considered to be the top of the pyramid, and Li Qingzhao was able to receive a superior education from an early age, laying the foundation for her later literary achievements.
Just as the so-called door-to-door pair, Li Qingzhao's first husband, Zhao Mingcheng, was also from the family of official eunuchs.
Zhao Mingcheng's father, Zhao Tingzhi, was the prime minister of the Northern Song Dynasty, and it is conceivable how lofty the status of the Zhao family was at that time. Under the promotion of Zhao Tingzhi, Zhao Tingzhi entered the Taixue, and later entered the official field without taking the imperial examination.

After marriage, the two had a very harmonious relationship, and Li Qingzhao was also influenced by Zhao Mingcheng and fell in love with jinshi zhixue. Neither of them pays attention to the degree of eating and wearing, preferring to live a simple life and take the money saved to study the study of gold and stone. Over time, Li Qingzhao and Zhao Mingcheng collected a large number of antiques, most of which were of great value.
When Zhao Mingcheng's father, Zhao Tingzhi, was alive, Li Qingzhao and Zhao Mingcheng were naturally able to live such a carefree life, after all, Zhao Tingzhi had served as prime minister, and others were too late to settle down, so why would they go back to embarrass Li Qingzhao and Zhao Mingcheng? But the good times did not last long, because in 1107 AD, Zhao Tingzhi died. As early as 1105, Li Qingzhao's father Li Gefei also died.
What's more, Zhao Tingzhi has a deep contradiction with Cai Jing, who is also the prime minister. In 1106, Zhao Tingzhi overthrew Cai Jing and became prime minister. But it didn't take long for Cai Jing to bring down Zhao Tingzhi and take care of him again. Not long after that, Zhao Tingzhi died of illness.
After Zhao Tingzhi's death, Cai Jing did not stop there, but also framed Zhao Tingzhi's family, which eventually led to Zhao Tingzhi's relatives in Beijing and all the men were imprisoned.
The prison plague, which began in the first month of 1107 and ended in July, although it was finally released because there was no evidence, Zhao Mingcheng was deposed from his official position. This also led to Zhao Mingcheng's lack of economic strength to continue to live in Beijing, so he and Li Qingzhao went to Qingzhou and lived the life of ordinary people.
This experience of Zhao Mingcheng and Li Qingzhao is very similar to that of many officials and the second generation of rich people now. Relying on the power of their fathers, many officials of the second generation of rich people lived very moist and very dashing. But once their fathers are gone, they will fall apart and will no longer be able to maintain their previous standard of living.
After becoming ordinary people, Li Qingzhao and Zhao Mingcheng were still the study of gold and stone. Later, Zhao Mingcheng re-emerged and served as the prefect of Jiangning, equivalent to the current mayor of Nanjing.
However, when Zhao Mingcheng was the prefect of Jiangning, there was a rebellion in his jurisdiction. As a leader in the Jiangning area, Zhao Mingcheng did not consider how to put down the rebellion, but instead took advantage of the night to escape.
Zhao Mingcheng's behavior, no matter when it was, was repugnant, even Li Qingzhao was no exception. It is precisely because of this incident that the two people who were originally very affectionate and had a gap in their feelings.
Later, Zhao Mingcheng was appointed as the Taishou of Huzhou, so Zhao Mingcheng and Li Qingzhao went south with the cultural relics they had collected for so many years. While passing through the Wujiang River, Li Qingzhao remembered that this was once the place where Xiang Yu, the king of Western Chu, killed himself, so she wrote "Summer Sentence":
Born as a master, dead as a ghost.
Still thinking about Xiang Yu, he refused to cross Jiangdong.
This poem is a mockery of the rulers of the Southern Song Dynasty, but it also includes her husband. At that time, Zhao Mingcheng was standing behind Li Qingzhao, and after hearing this poem, Zhao Mingcheng was ashamed and indignant, and he was depressed.
Coupled with the incompatibility of water and soil, Zhao Mingcheng contracted malaria and eventually died of illness in August 1129.
Second, Li Qingzhao's second relationship lasted only a few months
Zhao Mingcheng's death was a huge blow to Li Qingzhao. But the bad luck did not flee, and on Li Qingzhao's way south, the cultural relics she and Zhao Mingcheng had collected for decades were lost because of the chaos of soldiers and horses.
In addition to the lost, many cultural relics have been stolen by others. Just imagine, in such a war-torn era, how could a weak woman be able to keep so many valuable precious cultural relics?
As a result, almost all of Li Qingzhao and Zhao Mingcheng's decades of collections have been lost.
Originally a second-generation official, his father-in-law was still the prime minister, and Li Qingzhao, who lived a carefree life, had already experienced several years of turbulent and displaced life at this time.
Zhao Mingcheng, her husband, who was originally very loving, has long since died of illness.
Together with Zhao Mingcheng, he saved money and used the cultural relics he collected, and almost all of them were lost during the exile.
One by one, this pile is destroying Li Qingzhao. Just when Li Qingzhao was all gray and was about to go to the end of the road, a scumbag appeared.
This scumbag is called Zhang Ruzhou. He claims to be a fan of Li Qingzhao and has always been very fond of Li Qingzhao. And for Li Qingzhao's various meticulous care, various tricks express their love.
At this time, Li Qingzhao was very fragile, and it was also the time when he was most easily captured. Suddenly, a person came who cared so much about her and took care of her, so Li Qingzhao soon fell, and it was not long before he married Zhang Ruzhou.
The reason why Zhang Ruzhou is a scumbag is because Zhang Ruzhou is looking at the cultural relics collected by Li Qingzhao. In other words, he was with Li Qingzhao for money. But he did not know that almost all of the cultural relics collected by Li Qingzhao had been lost in exile.
Therefore, when Zhang Ruzhou and Li Qingzhao learned this truth after they got married, Zhang Ruzhou's ugly face was finally revealed, and he began to commit various domestic violence against Li Qingzhao.
At this time, Li Qingzhao could not bear it, she was a modern woman with independent thoughts, and she would not succumb to Zhang Ruzhou's obscenity. In addition, Li Qingzhao learned that Zhang Ruzhou had cheated, so she reported the matter to the government and asked for a divorce.
In this way, Zhang Ruzhou was dismissed from his official position, and Li Qingzhao was also divorced.
But then, Li Qingzhao will be imprisoned for 2 years.
According to Song Dynasty law, a wife sued her husband, for whatever reason, for 2 years in prison. Therefore, even if Zhang Ruzhou really cheated, Li Qingzhao still had to go to prison.
