The first person to write cursive in the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yunming's cursive "Li Bai Guan Shanyue".
Zhu Yunming (1461-1527), the character Xizhe, because his right hand has branches and fingers, so he called himself Zhishan. Known as "Zhu Jingzhao", a native of Changzhou (present-day Wu County, Jiangsu).
Zhu Yunming was nineteen years old, and he participated in the township examination five times, which was held in the fifth year of Hongzhi (1492), and the last seven times he participated in the meeting examination. Therefore, Zhu Yunming gave up the idea of the imperial examination, and in the ninth year of Zhengde (1514), he was awarded the title of Zhi County of Xingning County, Guangdong Province, and in the first year of Jiajing (1522), he was transferred to the position of Yingtian (present-day Nanjing) Fu Tongjue, and soon returned to his hometown after illness.
Zhu Yunming is good at poetry, you gong calligraphy, famous in the sea, and Tang Yin have the same spirit, and they are shared. Together with Tang Yin, Wen Zhengming, and Xu Zhenqing, he was called "The Four Talents of Wu Zhong". Together with Wen Zhengming and Wang Pet, he was a representative of the mid-Ming dynasty scholars.
Zhu Yunming's early years were meticulous, teaching Zhao Mengfu and Chu Suiliang, and chasing the "Second King" from Ou and Yu. Cursive calligraphers Fa Li Yong, Huang Tingjian, and Mi Fu have profound skills, especially in their later years, and their wind and bones are rotten. "There is no grass in the world, and there are three Wu in the world." This is the enthusiastic praise of the predecessors for the "first person of cursive writing in the Ming Dynasty" Zhu Yunming's calligraphy.
The main achievements of Zhu Yunming's calligraphy are wild grass and calligraphy. Wild grass comes from Huai Su and Zhang Xu, and is more close to the Yellow Valley, and the brushwork of lifting and turning is used interchangeably, and the distance between rows is very tight, forming a kind of wangyang wanton visual effect. What is even more rare is that the script is written quite rigorously, with the quaint atmosphere of the Jin and Tang dynasties. This contrasting comprehensive quality is very similar to Zhang Xu in the Tang Dynasty, such as "Cursive Self-Poetry Volume", "Zhiyuan and Codex", "Cursive Thousand Character Scroll", "Wang Wenke Gong Scroll" and so on.
