A few days ago, yuncheng calligrapher Zhao Qianmin entered the exhibition in the 36th Lanting Calligraphy Festival "Lanting Cup" National Farmers Calligraphy Competition, and at the invitation of the organizers, specially rushed to Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, to participate in the on-site competition for award-winning candidate authors held in Lanting Street on the same day, and after some hard work, won the Excellence Award and became the only winner in Shanxi.
It is understood that the competition is sponsored by the People's Government of Shaoxing Municipality, Zhejiang Province, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Zhejiang Province and the Calligraphers Association of Zhejiang Province, and organized by the Propaganda Department of the Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Shaoxing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, since the beginning of January 2020, and by the end of February, a total of 3190 entries have been received from 34 provinces, municipalities directly under the Central Government, autonomous regions and special zones across the country. The competition will be held in two stages. The first stage: preliminary evaluation and re-evaluation of all works, 300 works in and out of the exhibition, including 100 award-winning candidate works; the second stage: 100 award-winning candidate authors conduct on-site competitions at the time and place designated by the organizing committee of the competition. In the on-site competition held on August 20 in Lanting Street, 42 excellent works awards and 56 excellent works nomination awards were selected from the 98 award-winning candidate authors.
These exhibitions and award-winning works highlight the theme of the times of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and realizing the goal of the first centenary struggle, focus on the main tone of the Acura Party, the Acura Motherland, and the Acura People, and take the healthy and upward ancient and modern poems, Yang Lian, Wen, and Fu as the main creative objects, many of which have reached a fairly high level, and concentrate on showing the overall artistic level of peasant calligraphers in the new period.
