As my student, Wu Jiang has been working very hard and diligently to learn and practice art. This stems from his simple and generous personality and his dedication and fascination with the art of Chinese landscape painting, as well as his love and awe of nature.
During his postgraduate studies in mountain art, he deeply and systematically studied and explored the classic works of traditional Chinese landscape painting, especially the pen and ink, shape, pattern and landscape creation of Song and Yuan landscape paintings, which laid a solid foundation for his future study and creation of landscape painting. At the same time, Wu Jiang also extensively studied and absorbed the rich nutrition of traditional Chinese culture, and dabbled in calligraphy, seal engraving, classical poetry, painting theory of dynasties and other disciplines of art, so that his own artistic cultivation has been continuously improved, and his heart has gradually clarified the trajectory and direction of the development of Chinese landscape painting tradition, and is determined to become the inheritance and guardian of traditional Chinese art.
WuJiang's landscape painting creation has been constantly advancing and evolving, showing a variety of faces. His paintings include both ancient style and elegance that express traditional poetry, thick mysteries and ancient sounds, as well as some family mountain wheat fields with a strong sense of modern form; and sketches full of life interest, which make people dizzy. It is not difficult to see that he is an artistic creator who loves life, is good at discovery, and thinks more, and he has an active artistic thinking, exuberant creative vitality and an enterprising spirit that is not satisfied with the status quo, and there is no premature crust, which is a good thing for a young painter.
Wu Jiang continued to go deep into life, pay attention to sketching, and further engage in spiritual dialogue with nature, thus creating a number of landscape paintings that express the natural landscape of Qilu.com. Among them, the Taishan series, the Lingyan series and the Jinan Scenic Spots series have made great progress in the use of pen and ink, the expression of the gods, and the creation of artistic conceptions. The work is full of his infinite love and awe of nature. The weather, freshness and vitality of Chia Tai Qinggang make the work contain the endless natural atmosphere of Qilu Mountains and Rivers. It is not difficult to see that Wu Jiang is constantly returning to the orthodox context of landscape painting creation.
Unremitting efforts and exploration, sincere creation and performance, and continuous accumulation and cultivation have enabled Wu Jiang to emerge and achieve good results in the national exhibition in recent years, and gradually become an excellent member of the young painters in Shandong.
