Recently, Beijing Benz has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with relevant requirements. Beijing Benz will gradually recall the Mercedes-Benz EQC model produced at its flagship from November 30, 2018 to December 15, 2021, with a total of 10,104 vehicles involved.
The specific reason for the recall is that due to manufacturing deviations in the electric drive module, the cooling system in the EQC electric drive module produced during this period may have insufficient sealing or will lead to coolant leakage. When a fault occurs, a warning message will appear on the dashboard in the car, and in severe cases, coolant may penetrate into the motor, resulting in a decrease in the output power of the vehicle's electric drive module or the vehicle cannot be started, which is a safety hazard.
Beijing Benz will check the production serial number of the electric drive module for the vehicles within the scope of the recall through the authorized dealer, and if the production sequence number is within the range of the affected vehicle, Mercedes-Benz will replace the user with a new electric drive module free of charge. In addition, if mercedes-benz EQC owners encountered such problems or had concerns prior to the recall, they can contact the Mercedes-Benz Authorized Service Center and relevant authorized dealers in a timely manner.
