SAIC Maxus announced its latest sales results, with sales reaching 18,037 units in January this year, up 45% year-on-year and down 14.8% month-on-month. In the market segment, pickup trucks are particularly prominent, selling 6,595 units in the beginning of the year, a sharp increase of 121% year-on-year, and overseas wholesale sales have exceeded 60,000 units. The hardcore off-road model, the flagship pickup T90, has now opened pre-sale and may be officially delivered around the Beijing Auto Show in April, becoming a strong competitor to the Great Wall Gun.
Like pickup trucks, SAIC Maxus' light passenger family delivered 5,273 units in January, up 13 percent year-on-year. The latest ace light passenger V90 continues to expand, through a wealth of models and configuration options, further consolidate the market advantage, its new energy version OF EV90 is more popular in overseas markets, won the New Zealand "Electric Commercial Vehicle of the Year" international award.
In the first month of the year, SAIC Maxus's achievements in the MPV market were also remarkable, with the G50 PLUS, G20 PLUS, G10 and other popular MPVs combined to achieve a record of 4,003 units. In addition, SAIC Maxus' world's first full-size luxury smart pure electric MPV MIFA 9 will officially open for delivery in May. This revolutionary electric product will not only expand SAIC Maxus's new energy territory, but also fill the gap of medium and large pure electric MPVs in the industry.
