Author Profile

The author, Christophe Hein, was born in 1944 in Vitosis, Poland, and later studied philosophy and logic in Berlin. German novelist, dramatist, translator and essayist. He has won numerous awards for plays, short stories, and novels, including the Uve Johnson Prize and the Stefan Heim Prize. In addition to the book, Hine has published two children's books with illustrator Rotert Suzanne Bernard: "The Wild Horse Under the Tiled Fireplace" and "Mama Gone."

Painter Rotlaut Suzanne Bernard, born in Stuttgart in 1948, studied printmaking design, became a freelance book binding designer, illustrator and writer since 1977, and is currently one of the well-known Picture Book writers and illustrators in Germany, and has won many awards such as the German Youth Literature Award, the Volkach Prize, and the International Hans Christian Andersen Award for his superb artistic achievements. Her masterpieces include the "Four Seasons Time" series, which is known as a masterpiece of situational picture books.
