February 15 news, since February, the national automotive consumer complaint acceptance and disposal service platform has received many complaints related to Euler iQ models.
A search for Euler iQ keywords on the platform shows that the model has had nearly 30 complaints from owners in the past 10 days, most of which are due to "the decline in the mileage of the subsequent voyages of the recall and the increase in charging time".
It is reported that most of the models complained about are 2018-2019 Euler iQ models, some models with a range of 401 kilometers, and the follow-up mileage of the 4S store upgrade is reduced by 100 kilometers, and the charging time is doubled from 1.5 hours to 3 hours.
Since last summer, a number of Euler iQs have been reported to spontaneously combust when charging, and the model was even blocked by the charging station at one point, causing heated discussion. Subsequently, Euler recalled 16,000 Euler iQs for 2018-2019 on the grounds that the vehicle had potential battery thermal runaway hazards.
In fact, after the recall last year, some car owners reflected that the vehicle upgraded the software after the recall, did not inform the changes after the upgrade, and found that the vehicle's endurance and charging performance decreased significantly. Now, a number of car owners have defended their rights on the complaint platform, which means that after several months, this problem has not been properly resolved.
Some car owners said that the so-called upgrade is to limit the charging speed and charging amount, and after the upgrade, the manufacturer obviously locks part of the power from the software level to prevent overcharge.
Some complaints read: "Due to the safety hazards of the vehicle, the manufacturer issued a recall notice requesting the upgrade of the vehicle software, and did not clearly inform the upgrade of the vehicle after the upgrade, and even did not compensate." After the upgrade, the fast charging time is extended, the charging power is reduced, and the mileage is seriously shortened, resulting in a serious discrepancy between the performance of the vehicle and the time of purchase, which infringes on the rights and interests of our consumers. Requires replacement of the power battery to restore charging time and power. ”
Great Wall Motor manufacturers for some car owners of the complaint, replied, "Your information we have received, will arrange the relevant 4S shop as soon as possible to contact you to deal with, thank you for your support and understanding." ”
