Tesla opens all overcharging stations in the Netherlands
In November 2021, Tesla officially launched a pilot program for non-Tesla electric vehicles to charge Tesla supercharging stations, which pioneered the opening of 10 Tesla supercharging stations in the Netherlands.
Subsequently, the program expanded to other regions, including France and Norway. Tesla recently announced that all supercharger stations in the Netherlands are available for all non-Tesla electric vehicles. It is reported that Tesla has a total of 54 supercharger sites in the Netherlands.
In areas where overcharge is open, non-Tesla owners can find the Tesla overcharge site through the "Charge Your Non-Tesla" page after downloading the Tesla app and pay for it on the app. When the pilot first began, a number of non-Tesla brand models went to "punch in", and mercedes-Benz, Audi and Ford's electric vehicles were successfully charged.
Tesla said that more sites will be open in the future. At the outset of site selection, the experience will be reviewed, congestion monitored, and feedback evaluated, and future sites will only be open to non-Tesla vehicles if capacity is still available.
Will China open supercharging stations?
At present, there is no news that Tesla will pilot the plan to open supercharge in the Chinese market, but Tesla's global vice president Tao Lin has talked about the plan to open up supercharging in Europe on personal social platforms.
In the long run, if Tesla's pilot in Europe is finally successful, it does not rule out the possibility of opening up in the Chinese market in the future.
Tesla has 1,000 supercharging stations in China and more than 7,000 super-punching piles, which is the largest new energy vehicle company with overcharging in China and one of the fastest charging networks. Taking Tesla V3 overcharger as an example, the Model 3 and Model Y are charged under peak conditions, and the range can be 120 kilometers in 5 minutes.
If these supercharging stations can be opened to other brands, it will greatly enhance the expansion of the domestic new energy vehicle replenishment network, and even have a profound impact on the development of new energy vehicles.
Of course, Tesla's overcharge price is also relatively expensive in China, and the charging price per kWh is generally between 2-2.5 yuan, which can reduce the operating costs of its supercharging station and improve profits after opening.
