Winter Olympic Highlights| venues use to tree up new landmarks in the city after the game

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will make full use of the legacy of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games to create a number of double Olympic venues. The National Stadium hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the National Aquatics Center was transformed into a curling competition venue, the Wukesong Sports Center and the National Gymnasium were transformed into ice hockey competition venues, and the Capital Stadium was transformed into a short track speed skating and figure skating competition venue. The transformation of these venues has applied the latest scientific and technological means to achieve "ice water conversion", "ice basket conversion" and "amphibious utilization", and has become a comprehensive sports facility serving national fitness, sports culture and leisure, and multi-format operation.

The new venues of the Beijing Winter Olympics are planned ahead of time for post-game use. After the competition, the National Speed Skating Hall in Beijing will hold various ice events all year round, widely carry out mass ice and snow sports, and become a multi-functional ice center for Beijing citizens to participate in sports. Shougang Ski Jump has become the world's first permanently retained and used ski jumping venue, which will host high-level ice and snow events at home and abroad after the race, carry out public ice and snow experience and extreme sports, and carry out various cultural activities in combination with industrial relics, becoming a new landmark of Beijing Winter Olympic Park. The National Alpine Ski Center in Yanqing Will continue to hold alpine skiing events in the post-race snow season, provide training grounds for professional ski teams, open to high-level public ski enthusiasts, and carry out mountain sightseeing and outdoor sports in non-snow seasons to achieve four-season operation. The National Bobsleigh Center will continue to serve as a competition and training venue after the race, undertake and hold various high-level related events, open public experience projects, and create a characteristic venue with dual attributes of large-scale events and public leisure experience. These Olympic venues have become an important intersection of sports, culture and international exchanges in Beijing, and a new landmark in the development of the capital.
