Rockets general manager Stone boasted that he would chase the Pelicans fat tiger Williamson in the offseason to accelerate the rebuild. Recently, according to the US media "Houston Chronicle" reporter Fagan revealed, rocket general manager Stone said that he will do his best to find cornerstone players in the offseason, such as Zion Williamson of the Pelicans. Currently, Williamson is trying to recover from foot surgery in Oregon. At the same time, he is also trying to lose weight, which will help to return to normal conditions more quickly.

Williamson won't be back this season because he's been unhappy with the New Orleans Pelicans. Then, Rockets general manager Stone could try to bring in Williamson with Wall, Gordon, Wood and future draft picks.

Ahead of the NBA trade deadline, the Houston Rockets successfully sent Daniel Theis back to the Boston Celtics for Dennis Schroeder, Enes Friedman and Bruno Fernando. At the same time, DJ Augustine and Armony Brooks were cut.

The only regret is that the Rockets did not get any future draft picks in this deal. The biggest goal of the Rockets trade is to get a first-round draft pick or an expiring contract. Fortunately, Schroeder's contract was only one year and no more than $6 million. Schroeder could play some key role for the Rockets, and as head coach Stephen Silas had hoped, Schroeder could lead the bench to contribute to the team.

Rockets general manager Stone has been looking for a suitable deal for Eric Gordon, Christian Wood and John Wall, however, it has not been met with a suitable offer. According to sources, Wood and Schroeder may renew their contracts with the Rockets next season, depending on their performance this season.

There is reportedly some truth in the NBA's general managers who believe wood's deal is worth less. Because Wood's stats don't make much sense for the Rockets' rebuild, Wood needs to be a better defensive player and rebounder from the perspective of tactical system and team fit.

Wood's performance was not supported by fans and was even asked to leave the Rockets. If Wood can play to his strengths, he can still help rebuild the Rockets. Because he is tall and long, he has a good wingspan. He averaged 17.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

Schroeder's addition could ease the pressure on Jaylen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. as he could be the main point guard in the bench, giving Porter Jr. more rest. On the offensive end, you can use the breakouts on the flanks to score points. Schroeder has decisive passing skills and incredible scoring methods, while being able to do a great job of controlling the rhythm of the attack.

This season, Schroder averaged 14.4 points, 4.2 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game, shooting 44.0 from the field, 34.9 percent from three-point range and 84.8 percent from free throws. In addition to his talent on the offensive end, Schroeder is equally strong on the defensive end, he knows how to change defenses indefinitely, and his defensive ability can be as good as Kelly Olinick last season.

While Wall and Gordon are not currently traded, Stone will always look for better trading opportunities, and their value fluctuates up and down due to contracts. Wall's contract for next season is $47.3 million, and since it's the final year, it has decent deal value on the trading market.

Over the next two seasons, Gordon was on a $40.4 million contract, and only partially guaranteed, which gave the rest of the league more interest. As long as Gordon can stay healthy, he can get back a good potential player and a future first-round pick on the trade market. Gordon can help the team develop young players and help the Rockets rebuild.

Hopefully, Rockets fans will patiently wait for management to bring back an All-Star potential star.
